Chapter 6

Keely's POV

The next morning I woke up to people yelling, me being my curious self, got up to see what was going on. When I got downstairs I saw someone I didn't expect to see here...

 Zach! 

What was he doing here I walked up to him and my brother? 

"What is going on here?" 

"Keely you're awake!" Zach said clearly excited.  

"Yeah! No thanks to you guys!" 

"Keely I am sorry we woke you," Shawn said apologetically.

"It's fine. But Zach what are you doing here?" 

"I... I uh...," he starts. I cut him off.

"Are you going to tell me or just stand there like a stuttering poo?' I ask a little more attitude in my voice than I wanted.

"I am going to tell you." He says, before pausing and taking a big sigh.

"I want to... to get back together with you." He finishes, grabbing my hand and looking me in the eyes.

"What makes you think that I should get back together with you?" I ask wiggling my hand from his grip.

"I overreacted. You have a right to keep that a secret if you need to. I would have done the same thing. I love you, Keely. There is no-one else in this world that I love more." He says hopefully.

I stand there for a few seconds processing what Zach has just said. Once it has run through my mind, I run to my room, not stopping for anyone. When I get there, I slam the door, lock it and flop onto my bed. I curl up into a ball and start after a few minutes, I fall asleep. 

Zach's POV

I stand there shocked at what has just happened. I told Keely I was sorry and confessed my true love for her and she bolted.

That is not how I wanted that to go. At all.

Hayes' POV

I wake up when I hear a door slam. I throw on my shirt and some flip-flops before running down the hall to see Shawn and some guy standing there with shocked expressions on their faces.

"What happened?' I ask, looking around to see if anything if broken or missing. "And who is this?"

"Well, this is Zach, Keely's EX boyfriend," Shawn starts, emphasizing the "ex" part, "and he showed up this morning to tell Keely he was sorry and still in love with her but she bolted." He finishes.

I nod my head slowly, thinking of where Keely could be. She can not be alone right now.

It pops into my head and I turn and start walking to her room.

"Where are you going?" Shawn asks.

I turn and look at him, "Nowhere important."

I walk through the hallway and paused before knocking on Keely's door.

I hope this goes well.

Keely's POV

I am woken by the sound of soft knocks on my door. I slowly roll out of bed and open the door to see a worried looking Hayes standing there.

"Are you alright?" we ask each other at the same time.

"Yeah, I'm fine. You?" He says.

"Yeah, I'm..." I start before the tears coming rolling out.

"Shhhh. It's ok." Hayes says pulling me into a hug and rubbing small circles on my back.

"A beautiful girl like you shouldn't be crying." He says, wiping the tears from my cheeks, "Much better." He says giving me a small kiss on the forehead. 

As soon as I feel his lips on my head I feel like there are butterflies in my stomach. Do I like Hayes? I can't I just met him! Or can I?  

Hayes' POV

As soon as Keely starts crying I pull her into a giant hug and kiss her forehead and as soon as my lips connect with her forehead get this feeling that this is right, Keely being in my arms that is. 

"Keely..." I start. 

"Mmh" 

"Keely ever since the first time I saw you I knew that you were the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on. Look what I am trying to say is that I like you Keely and not just as a friend I see something more between us and I was wondering if you felt the same way that is if you would maybe like to go on a date with me?" 

"Hayes I-I don't know what to say other than... ever since I saw you at the airport I have felt that exact same way but I was just scared that you wouldn't like me like that but now that I know you do like me, I would love to go on a date with you."
