Prince's pov

As time passed by, the more I started to wonder if her smile was just a tactic to let me go with it. She looked at me, directly in the eyes, and "I love you" she said after a few minutes. The room fell silent as I stared into her soul, as if I was looking for the truth. I pressed my lips against hers, and gently kissed there. My hands roamed on her inner thighs, but she took them away. "Stop.." was all she could manage to say. Without saying anything, I went up to my studio.

That night, she wasn't there again, I had called a personal guard to find and bring her back in Paisley Park. It was only after two hours that I heard her voice from outside, she was complaining at the guy whom forced her to come here, but he stayed calm though.

"Where were you?!" I almost yelled as soon as she opened the door. "You know where I was! It's not even your business!" she screamed back, making me more frustrated. "Yes it is! you're my wife I have to know everything!" my voice echoed through the room, but I tried to calm down a little bit, "You know, Ariana.. I've been really wondering if you have cheated on me yet" I rubbed my forehead out of nervousness, my hands were slightly shaking.

Her eyebrows frowned, "I wouldn't do that!" she said in the same tone as earlier. "The images I get in my head when you're not around, with somebody else... It makes me crazy, I-I can't deal with this" I said the last sentence above a whisper. "You're not even the same person as.. before" I finished my speech, waiting for her to talk again. She looked so tired, with dark circles under her eyes. Some times, she would act happy, but some other times, she would act like... this. However, I still swore to God that she was as pretty as the first time.

"You wanna know what I've been thinking about?" her voice was now calm, but shaky. I looked at her, saying to continue. "A divorce" after the words escaped from her mouth, she left me standing here like a fool, as the thoughts crawled up in my head, debating if I heard right. After a while, the shock seemed to fade, and that's when I realized what just happened. I slided my back against the wall until I hit the floor, and cried all the tears I held back for too long. I didn't want to believe it. "I was only protecting you" I said out loud, as I continued sobbing.

In the morning, I was still on the floor, my eyes with bloodshots. I went in my studio a little, until one of the employees at Paisley Park decided to bother me. "I'm working now... what?" I said, keeping my head down. "I'm really sorry Mr.. have you checked the news?" the male voice said, "Why?" I asked, lifting up my head. "You should really take a look...".
