Red - Red is very much the quintessential hero; brave, kind, and outgoing. He is capable of feats of agility, and is always willing to help others, with or without the help of his Pokémon.

Red is an exceptional Pokemon battler, able to utilize his Pokémon's moves and natural talents in unique ways. Red's special skill, as described by Professor Oak, is Pokémon battling, earning the title of the "Fighter"

Red is sometimes slow to pick up on sensitive matters. He is the last of the original seven Pokedex holders to learn of Yellow's true gender identity.

Is part of the football, lacrosse, basketball, volleyball, and soccer team and is head of the Battle team. Also does cross country, indoor track & field, swimming & diving, and track & field.

Trainer Class: Trainer, Champion

Green Oak - Green has a serious, calm, and focused personality in everything he does. Although Red and Green were once bothered by each other because their personalities are so opposite, they ended up resolving their differences.

Green and his Scyther were trained by Chuck of Cianwood City when he was a child. Thus, Green has some cursory knowledge of martial arts, and his Scyther knew Generation II techniques.

Green's special skill, as described by Professor Oak, is Pokemon training —that is, leveling them up and making them strong, and as such is referred to as the "Trainer."

Is part of the Battle, basketball, soccer and tennis, badminton, bowling, and golf team and participates/plays at every sports event/competition. Martial Arts Club Leader.

Trainer Class: Trainer, Gym Leader

Blue - As a young child, she was kidnapped by Ho-Oh and raised by the evil Masked Man, where she met and became close with Silver. This kidnapping led to her ornithophobia, which she manages to cure herself of. The two of them managed to escape and began plotting against the Masked Man to take him down for good.

Blue is quite cunning and quick-witted. She can talk others into believing a bold-faced lie and talk her way out of many tight situations. At one point, she convinces Red to buy a bunch of useless items for his Pikachu. Blue is also a master of disguise, she uses her Ditto, Ditty as a mask and is able to make herself look like anyone she wants.

Blue's special skill, as described by Professor Oak, is the knowledge of Pokémon Evolution, a skill she learned from her time as a Masked Child. For these skills, she is known as the "Evolver."

Participates every now and then in the Battle, tennis and badminton teams when she isn't getting into trouble. Does gymnastics and was recently encouraged to join the dance and cheerleading teams.

Yellow - Yellow is quite naive, and acts very much like a little child. She hates it when Pokémon are injured, hers or her opponent's, and has developed a style of battle in which neither her nor her opponent's Pokémon are hurt unless it is absolutely necessary.

Yellow's special skill, as described by Professor Oak, is Pokémon healing and is called the "Healer". She received psychic abilities from Viridian Forest, which include the ability to read the emotions of Pokémon and heal their wounds. Yellow is physically small compared to the rest of the characters.

Yellow is female, but a running gag of the manga is for her to disguise herself as a boy and for most people not to notice otherwise. Her disguise simply consists of putting a hat over her head to hide her long blonde ponytail. She first did this in the Yellow arc by the instruction of Blue, being ordered by her to keep her gender a secret at all costs unless it could be beneficial. Blue also told her to do this to make it harder for others to track her, but even after the events of the Gold/Silver/Crystal arc she is still seen doing it (for some reason she didn't inform about what is the content of the hat, though Red knows about it at chapter 180) until the end of the Gold/Silver/Crystal arc. All later appearances she has appeared as a female and often without her hat.

Is on the swimming team and participates in art competitions/events.

Bill - Bill is stated to be a genius, graduating from college at an early age and being the creator of several inventions such as the Pokémon Storage System and the Vs. Seeker. Despite seeming like a weak person who constantly gets into trouble he can actually be a capable battler when put to the test. He speaks with an Osaka accent, which is actually so thick as to be unintelligible to some people.

Technology teacher and the Chess Club sponsor.

Trainer Class: Storage System developer, Pokemon Association member

Daisy Oak - is the older sister of Green and the granddaughter of Professor Oak. Daisy is a very admired staff member and is known for her beauty throughout the school. Certain students come into her office to have their Pokemon groomed as an excuse to go and see her.

School nurse, Health Club and dance team sponsor

Trainer Class: Coordinator, Pokemon groomer, Pokemon doctor

Celio - is a Pokémon Storage System programmer in the Sevii Islands and good friend of Bill.

Technology teacher, alongside Bill and Lanette.
