(Rewritten 4/3/20, hopefully it sounds a bit more realistic now ^.^ also FYI my Grammarly score on the old chapter was a 44 compared to this an 82 lol)

A rough voice brought me back into reality. At the front of the bus stood an older man in his late 40's or 50's. He stood to be at least 6 feet tall and was extremely muscular. His German accent echoed as he said "Cadets get your asses up. I am James Miller. But to you, that's SERGEANT Miller. Understood?"

The bus remained silent. Everyone too afraid to make the first move or noise. "Did I not make myself clear? I SAID UNDERSTOOD?"

"YES SIR!" we all yell in unison.

"Good. Now follow me."

Everyone shuffled out of the bus and into the school. Trailing timidly behind everyone I began to notice something strange. None of the students here were girls. Many of them were muscular built boys around my age. Did this school just become more daunting? YES.

We were given a tour of this massive school and what was to be expected of us. While touring this campus it was pretty evident that there were no females in sight besides the few staff members. At the end of the tour were given some uniforms, casual clothing, food, a reusable water bottle, and other essentials. My dorm room was empty besides the bed, speaker, cabinet and alarm clock. However, this had been the first time I had been at peace in a while. I put away the few belongings I carried with me into the metal cabinets. Suddenly a loud voice broke the silence within my room. "Attention all cadets report to gymnasium B in uniform immediately!"

I slipped on the camo colored Uniform and put my hair into a low bun. I walked out of my dorm and made my way into the gym. All the boys stood shoulder to shoulder in a single file line. I joined them cautiously hoping the sergeant wouldn't notice I was slightly late. Slowly he began making his way down the line checking each of the boys with his clipboard and while asking a few questions. Sergeant Miller began to move closer to me until he stopped in front of the boy beside me. He stared at him, his eyes hardened before asking "Cadet Michaels, why are you here?"

"Easy to impress the ladies." He snickered before winking at me. However, I maintained my composure and continued to look forward refusing to acknowledge him and his grotesque remark.

The gym had become eerily silent.

"Cadet Michaels. Strip."

"I'm sorry what?" Michaels stuttered.

"You heard me strip out of your uniform and GET THE HELL OUT OF MY SCHOOL. I DO NOT TOLERATE JOKES OF ANY KIND." Seargent Miller's voice roared. Earning a few snickers from the rest of the boys.

Michaels scurried out and was never seen again after that. Seargent Miller then came to me. He looked at me confused and checked his clipboard a few times. "Cadet Brooklyn Collins you do realize that you are currently the only girl who has signed up for this school. I believe the last girl who signed up was over 25 years ago and she didn't last. So Cadet Collins why are you here?"

"Sir I have joined this school for one reason. To become stronger mentally and physically. I have lived a difficult for the most part and I want to be strong enough to fight the demons from my past." Shit, maybe I should have said something less personal and more generic. All the boys glanced skeptically at me. However, Miller was looking at me with a glimmer of admiration and respect in his dark brown eyes.

"Well, Cadet Collins be prepared to work hard because I will treat you no differently than the other boys so don't expect any special treatment. NOW EVERYONE DROP AND LET ME SEE YOU ALL DO 50! These first few months will be the hardest of your life and only those who work hard will be able to keep up and not be cut from our school."
