Chapter 9

"Let's start at the beginning,"  Emma said.

"The Big Bang happened, then the dinosaurs came then they died then humankind came. That's the beginning now get to the point."

Emma just gives me the 'can you just shut your pie hole and listen' face.

"You will understand everything one I explain how it began. Ok?"  I nod my head.

"You were born at Kerry-Leary hospital. The hospital wasn't the best especially from the neighborhood it came in. But you and Asher are Fraternal Twins, but You were oddly born a week after  Asher. The doctors told your mom and dad that you would be a lost cause and would most likely have a lot of medical issues because of the late delivery. So when you were born everyone assumed you would have many problems. So your father decided to give you up for adoption even though your mother was firmly against it. But because of the poor conditions of the hospital and the lack of good management they ended up giving away the wrong baby. So Asher was given up for adoption by mistake. The hospital didn't realize their mistake until they changed your diaper. But by then it was too late, and Asher was long gone. Your father the terrible idiot who should have burned to death in the depths of hell was outraged, and he blamed you and your mother. He wanted a son more than he wanted a daughter!"

"Sexist much" I quickly but in

"You guys had a few good years, but that was only because your dad took pills to lessen his anger. But eventually he began to slack, and day by day he became angry and vengeful. What happened from this point is still unclear. But I believe your dad killed your mother, and I think he wanted you to suffer. The police were unable to prove that he was guilty, so he was free. "

"Ya  I get it, my dads, a sleazy drunken homicidal idiot, but how did Asher get here."

I asked.

"So this is where we are gonna setback our clocks. Asher was adopted by a random couple for four months up until he was put back up for adoption. However, Mrs. and Mr. Vanderbilt, we're having a tough time getting pregnant, so they decided to adopt Asher. However a couple of months later they ended up getting pregnant, and they had another boy. The world wasn't aware that you both were related to a couple of months back which was how I found out where you were.

"Why the fuck did you decide to keep this from me!?" I seethed

I was so pissed that if I were the human torch from fantastic four, this house would be up in flames.

Emma just stared at me silently while I just glared at her. She was wasting my time, so I got up and left. I made my way to my room and stared out the window. The snow was starting to slow down, but it's was still quite high. I miss Chicago and military school and my BFF Sam. A stray tear inched its way down my face.

Don't get me wrong it's nice here I'm experiencing a life I thought I would never have but, I miss the simpler times when I didn't go to a fucking stereotypical school. Well, when is meeting your long lost brother stereotypical? I need to sleep on things, so I changed into my PJs and jumped into bed.

I'm not even sure how or why but I wake up with half of my body hanging off the bed and my arms hugging the lamp next to me... I'm surprised I wasn't electrocuted. It just occurred to me that I haven't been working out a lot so I hauled my lazy ass to the place where Emma put my gym equipment. I changed into a Nike sports bra and gym pants. Then I lifted weights and then began doing about 125 push-ups. This is sad by now it should be at least 200. I start my core workouts and end with running on the treadmill. My nose was still running during the entire exercise since I'm still sick.
