My Everything

Ch.6

      You and Ponyboy were completely shocked. It was crazy that you two had the same birthdays! That's when you heard somebody knock on the door. You two looked at each other in surprise. Nobody in the gang knocks, so it has to be a stranger. Both of you got up to see who was at the door. Pony lifted you up so that you could see through the peephole. You weren't very tall. You couldn't believe your eyes. You frantically motioned Ponyboy to set you down. You opened the door and gave your two best friends each a hug.
      "Emily! Katie! It's been so long!" you exclaimed. They looked behind you and saw Pony. "Oh, this is my boyfriend, Ponyboy."
      "Hi! My name is Emily Alter. I'm Riley's friend from school," Emily introduced.
      "Hi! My name's Katie Gerard. I'm Riley's other friend from school," Katie introduced.

Ponyboy's POV:
      I just met Riley's two best friends from her old school. To me, Emily seems extremely reckless from how she's acting around Riley, she'll love Dally. But Katie seems shyer, I can tell she will get along well with Johnny. I wonder how they found us.
      Emily said," we heard about a new girl in the neighborhood, so we came to check it out. We knew you ran away from home, so we were hopeful it was going to be you, and it was!"
      "So, do you two live here in Tulsa?" I asked.
      "Yup! It was always a long drive to school," said Emily.
      "Come in! Make yourselves at home!" I told them as they filed in. We all sat and talked while Emily and Katie had some chocolate cake. These girls are really nice. The door suddenly burst open and Johnny and Dally walked in. They just came back from a joyride.
      Dally swaggered over towards Emily and said smoothly," Call me Ariel, cause I want to be a part of your world." Emily laughed and said, "I'm only saying yes because that was extremely cheesy, and I have a thing for cheesy guys." That's one couple, now I'm waiting for Johnny. I know that he's gonna use a pickup line as well because he always follows Dally's lead.
      Johnny awkwardly walked over to Katie and said," You remind me of my chapstick, cause you da balm." Katie blushed and giggled. He smiled and said," Will you be my girl?" Katie nodded and he hugged her.
      Emily said," Hey, Katie and I are going to take Riley to the bookstore, we know how much she loves to read." And with that, the girls all got up and left. All three of us guys went into the living room and sat and watched Mickey  Mouse.

Riley's POV:
      The girls took you outside and you guys caught each other up about what's going on in your lives. You convinced them to ask their parents to let them come to the same school that Pony and you go to so that you could see each other all of the time. Also, it wouldn't be as far of a drive for them. When you got to the shopping center, you went into the coffee shop. Emily got a chai latte, Katie got a peppermint mocha, and you got a peppermint hot chocolate. You walked to the book store and sat down on a couch in front of a TV. It was showing a new movie. All three of you sat there while you finished off your drinks. When the door opened, the bell jingled and the whole gang came in. You ran up to Ponyboy and hugged him as he twirled you around. Johnny came and sat next to Katie and put his arm around her. Dally lifted the chair that Emily was sitting on and pushed her off onto a couch. He picked her up from the couch and put her on his back. He promptly walked away. He said that she was going to stay with him for the night. Ponyboy put you on his back and walked you around the shopping center looking at all of the cool stuff.
      It started to get cold, so he gave you his black hoodie. It was a little too big, but it was so warm. You two decided to walk home. It was already getting dark. When you got home, you checked the mailbox. It had a letter in it that had no return address, the envelope just said two words: catch me.
