10:15. Only 30 more minutes until I have to leave and 45 until Harry expects me to be at the park waiting for him. I hear my mothers snores coming from her room across the hall which is good, I won't have to be as quiet which is already hard for me.
I pull my hair up into a bun and grab a black pull over sweater since its quite cold out. I fix my eye make-up, lace up my black Doc Martens, and grab my phone checking the time.
10:34. Only a couple more minutes. I sit on my window seat and stare out the window watching the big flakes of snow gently fall to the cold ground. Moments like these are my favourite. The world just seems so serene and like nothing bad could ever happen; is happening. An old couple across the street catches my attention. They are walking hand in hand laughing and enjoying each others company on their little journey. The way the old man looks at his wife makes my heart melt, his eyes are full of love and it looks like he would do anything for her. I wish I could find someone like him, someone who would go to the ends of the Earth to make sure I'm safe, someone who could make me laugh when I'm sad, someone to take care of me when I'm sick, and mostly, just someone who I could love unconditionally and they love me just as much. That will never happen though. Not to me.
I look at my phone once again and see it's 10:49. Shit. this is later than I wanted to leave. I run to my door and open it slowly making sure not to make any noise. Once I successfully make it out of my room I tip-toe down the stairs and towards the front door grabbing my jacket and mitts on the way out. The door makes more noise than I would have liked but it didn't wake my mom up, thank god.
I pass the old couple on my venture to the park. They smile at me and I smile back being friendly even though all I want to do right now is put someone's head through a fucking wall.
I'm only about 5 minutes late when I finally get to the park. I walk over to the swing set and see a figure sitting on one of the swings.
"You're late," Harry states turning to look at me.
"Yes I know that" I lean against the pole of the swing set and pull my hood up to keep my ears warm. I should have brought a hat.
"Why are you late?" Harry asks standing up. He's wearing old brown boots and a black jacket undone exposing his grey sweater.
"Does it matter? Just tell me what you want so I can go home." I sass crossing my arms over my chest.
"Yeah actually. It does matter, now tell me why the hell you were late." He yells the last few words making me flinch. He needs to calm the fuck down.
"Don't yell at me." I try to say confidently, but it comes out quieter than I had hoped.
"What was that Ace? I couldn't quite hear you," He cups his hand behind his right ear taunting me, "Could you say it a bit louder this time sweetie?"
"I said don't fucking yell at me." I clench my jaw staring at him. He walks towards me slowly, but I stand my ground leaning off of the pole. Once he's close enough, he grabs my hands gently pulling them out of their crossed formation and just holding them.
"Now honey," He says forcefully pulling me into him, "You should know by now not to swear at me." Harry looks no where but my eyes making me feel small, even though in comparison to him I am quite tiny.
"S-sorry," I stutter averting my gaze from him. "What did you want me to come here for?" I question.
He lets me go and walks over to the swings again sitting down. He motions for me to sit as well on the other one. I walk slowly towards it unsure, he's being really weird tonight and I don't know what to think of it.
