I knew this from the beginning of the show: Yuri is Yuzuru! The skating, the outfits, and the small details all prove that Yuri is Yuzuru Hanyu, the 19 year-old Silver medalist at the Olympics.
I believe, since Yuzuru got first place this fall of this year at the Canadian Skating competition, and is now 22 and got so popular, that they decided to make an anime with an character/ plot based off of Yuzuru.
