The Truth of love

That spark in your mind
So magnificent and beautiful
The very thing that attracted me to you
Vanished once I said "I love you"
You showed no emotion
Neither did I
Two people, frozen in time
We stood silent and waiting
Until the world fell apart around us
And the only thing we could see
Were two amazing people
Finally about to be free

Sure you were broken
But so was I
We both have the scars to prove it
But that doesn't make us deny
The true love we searched for
That made even US cry
The strongest broken people
Among this world of lies
We were finally put together
Two souls to make a life
And then things got much better
We could see the sun rise

What happened? we asked
Did love make us blind?
Our souls matched so evenly
How could it be a lie?
This is crazy! I shout
This is lie! I announce
Why? How?
This world makes no sense!
How could it be that my only love
Wasn't meant to be?
...
Truly this was the truth among the greatest lie:
True love doesn't exist
Even in a world so bleak as this
So goodbye I say
One final time
I can't live in a world
With such a painful lie
