Sadness

From deep within a monster grew
Yet he didn't know it
Because he came down with the blues
A sadness everyone gets
Some forever
Some forget
Until one day he hurt the only person
That only he knew he could hurt
That's when the monster showed itself
A deep dark emotion called depression
So passionate for pain
It hurt others for the sake of games
So he did the unspeakable
He fought it alone
He'd sacrifice his body
As well as his soul
He'd make a cut
Some big some small
To feed the monster
So it couldn't hurt anyone at all
