Luke, Leia, and their droids landed on Tatooine. The dust flying up and almost consuming their ship. Luke brought the group to Anakin's old hideaway. Lifting up their tunics and cloaks to block out the heat and sand, they broke their way inside. It had been vacated for years, but seemingly untouched despite the piles of sand that penetrated the premise.
Luke pushed the door close as the sandstorm forced it open. Leia grazed her fingers over Anakin's knick-knacks and other tinkering tools.
"You lived here? Your whole life?" Leia questioned, she hadn't been to Tatooine during a sandstorm. Due to Luke's nonchalant attitude about it she could tell it was normal.
"Yeah. Well, not here-here. I lived with my Aunt and Uncle a few miles from here." Luke explained, "This is where my Father lived."
"Anakin lived here?" Leia turned around, sparking her interest further. It plagued her thoughts that her brother had such a drastic difference of life quality than she.
"Yup." He said, closing up the windows and the cracks in the doors.
"For how long?" She asked.
"As long as I have, I guess. If I'm honest he never really told me as much about my past as I would've liked." Luke said, struggling to shut out the wind with cloths and whatever he could find.
"I'm sure he has his reasons." Leia brushed off, knowing full well she held a giant secret from Luke, "In all fairness, he didn't have much choice in the matter."
"It's funny. I never thought you really liked him all that much." Luke laughed to himself, obviously he was wrong.
"I never disliked him." Leia protested, "I don't really like anyone."
"Except for Han?" Luke said, with an unpleasant tone of a fourth grader who just lost his shoe, he knew full well her feelings for him. He detested them, Luke was a sore loser.
"And you, and Chewie." Leia crossed her arms.
"It's just a little interesting that after everything now you have an interest in my Father's well being." Luke got up from plugging up the floor, "And you suddenly agreed with Caleb's view of Darth Majka."
"What are you trying to say?" Leia stood up a little straighter.
"That you don't have to pretend you care about me, alright? Han isn't around to be jealous. And I don't know if you noticed but it wasn't really working." Luke said, crinkling his nose.
"I'm not pretending." Leia touched her nose and closed her eyes, sighing in grief of her stupidity. "I'm sorry I did that. It wasn't fair of me. You're confused, aren't you? I know it seems that we have a connection-"
"But you don't think of me like that." Luke interrupted, "It's fine, I'm a big boy. You don't have to let me down easy."
"I don't know if there's an easy way to say any of this." Leia couldn't help laughing, if only he knew, "Luke while you went off and the rest of us were stuck in that astroid avoiding the Empire. Anakin filled in a lot of gaps that I didn't even know was a gap in my life. And it was hard for me to face."
"Like what?" Luke asked, crossing his arms in opposition.
"Like where I came from. Who my parents are. My entire life nothing felt right and then as soon as it started to, it all falls apart." Leia said, avoiding the specifics.
