Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!______
I looked in the mirror and smiled at myself. If that a*shole thinks he can get away with this than he is gladly mistaken. He said to dress nice, well I am. Just not nice in the way his mom would like.
I was wearing distressed jeans with so much rips in them it was nearly impossible to cover my legs. I also paired it with a string shirt that way lower than imaged. I wore a leather jacket over it and black boots. I also put on the darkest makeup I could put on without looking like I goth though.
I smirked. There was no way his mom would accept me dressed like this. She would kick me out the moment I stepped foot in her home. Although that's not what I typically would want when I meet a parent, I need to do this to finally get rid of that bad boy before he starts thinking he has a stay in my life.
I was surprised I had managed to find such an outfit on such short notice. Once I left school I quickly went to the store and bought the outfit I would never wear. After that, I ran home and dressed.
Fast forward to now and I couldn't believe myself for putting such a wonderful display. This will surely show Drew not to mess with my and to leave me alone.
I checked the clock and saw it 8 o'clock on the dot. Just as I did a finale onceover of my outfit, I got a call from my phone. It was an unknown number and I stared at it. I knew it was him....
"What do you want?" I said.
"Well well well that's not so nice."
"What do you want?" I asked again.
"I'm outside. Come now." He said and then he hung up.
Ugh, I hate this night already.
I left my house before my mom saw my clothes and made me go back and change. As I exited the house, I saw he had a car instead of his famous motorcycle. I dragged my feet toward the car and climbed in.
"How did you get my number?" I said.
"Nice to see you too sweetheart." He responded with his smirk.
"Enough games Drew, how did you get my number?" I replied.
"I'm Drew McKing."
"Okay is that suppose to mean something?" I said. I knew that would get under his skin.
He was about to respond when he saw my outfit. His smile turned into a frown.
"What are you wearing?"
I smiled, "Oh this old thing? I've been wanting to expand my style!"
"Go back and change. Now." He demanded.
"No."
"Go."
No."
"Now"
"Nope."
"I said go!"
"And I said no!"
"Stop arguing and go!" He yelled but I held my ground.
"You want me to do this? Then deal with the outfit."
"This is not what I was hoping for." He sighed and shakes his head.
I smiled. This was all going according to plan.
"Tough luck buddy, take it or leave it."
"Just get in."
I smiled. I won this round.
As I got in the car, Drew sped off my driveway and into the road before I even got both feet in the car.
"Watch out you idiot! You could have ran me over!" I yelled
"Even better." He murmured.
"I heard that!"
"I was planning on it."
We spent the remainder of the time in silence until h decided to end it.
"Are you ready to meet my mom?" He said with a smile. All he got was a glare from me.
"I'll take that as a yes. Thanks for doing this favor for me." He said as he started laughing.
"My pleasure. What are friends for." I said with a forced smile.
"That's my girl."
"I'm not your dog."
"You're no my friend either." He said.
"No really? What gave that away?" I said.
"Are you always this pissy?" He asked.
"Only to blackmailing jerks like you" I replied with a smile.
"Awe thanks that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me." He declared as he looked at me.
"I'm glad I can be the one behind that compliment them."
"Are you always this sarcastic?"
"Are you always asking questions?"
"This isn't going to work out." He said.
"Are you breaking up with me? Really? woohoo! That's great! Drop me on the side of the road! I'll have someone pick me up!"
He just gave me a flat look.
"Can you stop being sarcastic for a moment?" He asked."Can you be a good driver for second?"
"I am a good driver!"
"Of course you are. " I said as I rolled my eyes.
"You're impossible."
"I didn't know that word was on your dictionary."
"It's basic English Leslie." He said.
"Exactly my point."
All I heard was a sigh from him and as soon as that a smile came onto my face. Maybe annoying him will be my ticket out of this mess. It seems to be working so far.
It was quiet for a moment before I felt the car stop.
"We're here." He said.
In front of me was a small house. It wasn't tiny but it was small enough for a small family to live in. The front yard was covered with fresh grass and a garden on the side. This house looked nothing from what I pictured Drew to live in.
"Home sweet home." He said as he started walking up the front step.
I just realized my outfit will surely get me kicked out within a second I go through the door; which was exactly what I was hoping for.
"Let's go." I said with a smile.
We got to the door and just as soon as Drew opened the door, his mother was on the other side.
Once she saw me her smile dropped.
And picked right up again.
"Oh my gosh! I love your outfit hunny!" She said with the most sincere smile I have ever seen.
"Did I mention my mom was a rocker when she was young?" Drew said with the biggest smile on his face.
