BETRAYAL

A ravaging tear flows down the eye,
No hurdle could have stopped it by.
The eye gleamed as it parted from the tear,
It glistened with a shine of fear.

The hand rested on the table as it shivered with pain,
It had surrendered all the life's gains.
There were several cuts on the palms due to earning those pieces,
The method of acquiring them was a stressful thesis.

The mind was in a dilemma of torturing thoughts,
The spirit was affected with dark spots.
The lungs breathed on air infected with poison of sorrow,
The antidote of joy was nowhere to borrow.

The heart pumped blood full of weak contents,
The veins drained with a serum of resent.
The skin had wounds and injuries no medicine could fill,
No cure could be found for the dying will.

The body was decaying as worms captured upon the flesh,
The cuts were deep and the scars were fresh.
The man surrendered himself to the doctor with hopes,
She gripped him tight with thorny ropes.

He had a dream to be cured forever,
Such a miserable death he had dreamt never.
She played with his life and left him trembling,
The damage left ruins not worth assembling.
