"Hello mom."
I had an half hour conversation with mom.Obviously she was dead worried because I wasn't picking up my phone.She already has a lot on her plate.She panicked so much that she even forgot that she could call Hannah.Yup that's my mom. We talked about dad and she reminded me of our deal which I almost forgot about. If I get a job now it would benefit us both.I can support them financially.
For the last month I've applied for jobs everywhere I could.Evem if I had no experience or any idea what it was about.I've given some interviews.Some were a miss,some were not adjustable and others I'm still waiting for but it's talking forever.There was this good job but the boss kept complementing my ear.Creeped me out.
I opened my email to see if there were any feedbacks and lucky me there was one.
I was reading a beauty magazine once and there was an ad for some secretarial post. So I applied for it even though my resume lacked a lot. But the email says I've been accepted!I ran over to Hannah.
"Guess what?"I said.
"Guess what about what?"Hannah asked as removed a cucumber slice from her eye.
"I've been given a Secretarial post at 'Bonica' " I squealed.
"Wait fashion house Bonica?The one with a clothing line,makeup brands,fashion shows and won last years num one in quality brand.That BONICA?!"
"Yeah,the one that realeses magazines.Which is the only thing I know,"I said as i shrugged for my lack of knowledge.
"How?You don't even care about these stuffs.Did you lie in your resume or interview?"
"Thats the weird part.They didn't interview me and my resume kinda sucked since all the questions were about fashion trends and whatnot."
"You sure this isn't a scam?"Hannah asked nervously.
"I guess not.They told me to meet them next Saturday.So let's see."
"Anyway,this is great news!You'll get free dresses and products.Bring me all of them.This calls for a drink,"Hannah got up to arrange the glasses.
"You know I don't drink."
"That's why I'm gonna drink drink for the both of us."
"Ok then let's order pizza."
"Did you tell your mom?This means you won.Though I was eagerly waiting for your marriage.You should have at least known who the unlucky guy was."
"I don't need to and I will tell her after I meet them and finalize things."
Hannah grabbed a glass of wine and toasted,"To Jades failed marriage!"
I toasted with her with a glass of juice.

Saturday came,I got dressed and I went to Bonica's headquarters.Standing right in front of it made me really nervous.Its really really tall. People around me are extremely busy and very well dressed.
I took a deep breath and went in.
"Hi I'm here to see Cara."
"You are?"
"Jade.I'm here fo.."
"5th floor on the lift then go left and ask,''said the lady at the counter as she went back to being busy.
There were about 6 lifts.People were getting in and out like flocks of birds.I stood in front of one but as it opened I wasn't able to get in.So I stood by the next one but same thing happened.
This kept on going for a while.After 20 minutes later I reached the 5thfloor already being tired.
As I got out,there were people every where.Running,checking,measuring etc.The place was filled with boxes and clothes.On the middle of everything there was this women giving orders.So I went to ask her.
"Excuse me.I'm looking for Cara?"
She didn't hear me so I said it again.
"Cara?"Only yelling this time.
"What?" She looked at me fiercely.
"Im sorry,i am looking for someone named Cara?If you can.."
"Its me.What do you want?"
"Oh I'm Jade.Nice to meet you."
"Jade who?You have to be more specific."
"Im here for the secretarial post."
"Oh right.As you can see it's a bit hectic here,lets go in my office and talk.Follow me."
"Sure."
We went to 11th floor.It was so quite.There were no one there.
"Take a seat.Ill keep this short.Youre going to be the boss's direct assistance.Here is a list of what you need to do in a summery.Of course it'll change to the boss's will.Have a look."
She handed me the paper.It began with Bringing coffee to picking up suits to managing minor office related work.There were even perfect time and regulations for it.
"Umm.....I get the work but there isn't much office activity on it and this seems more like a house hold job,"I said being confused.
"Of course there isn't.Thats my job.You're his P.A."
"P.A as in?"
"P.A as in personal assistant.lemme break this down.I'm his secretary. Anything related to this office is MY work.As his personal assistant you're going to have to do the other ones...you know...the things on this list."
I got this feeling that this wasn't a official job and some kind of last minute thought.Something doesn't feel right.Ami i getting myself into trouble?
She kept on going,
"I know this isn't very documented but this is a very precious job.Basically you're the boss's.....handler."
She's trying too hard to convince me but she went on,"As your resume you still haven't got your degree yet and you have yet do evet no knowledge about fashion.Else you wouldn't even dare to were black and brown together.like why would....anyway this way you can be an intern while getting maximum wage."
"Maximum wage?"I asked raising my eyebrow.

"Oh my gosh!Why would they offer this much for such a job like this?!"Hannah said in shock.
"I don't know.They even wanted to pay 50% in advance.I wouldve said no but this would boost up my current situation so much.So i said yes,"I quenched.
"I know but don't force yourself ok?Your safety comes first,"Hannah said.
"Don't worry I'll make this work somehow."
