Chapter eleven

ㅡ Y/N POV ㅡ

I took a deep breath, because I knew what I was going to say.
"I was scared to confess.. I was afraid that you'd reject me and our friendship would get lost. That's why I kept it a secret all these years..", I gulped waiting patiently for an answer. Hansol looked up at me.
"So you had feelings for me all the time?", Hansol asked.
"Since you took my first kiss. But I suppose you forgot about it", I answered looking down. Everytime I thought of that day, I got all tingly.

"How could I forget?", Hansol replied. It started raining. Hansols shook face faded into a heartwarming smile. I smiled back at him as he carressed my cheek and approached towards my face. My heart was pounding so fast. He was so close to me.
- The door suddenly opened. We flinched away from each other. It was dad looking confused and raising a brow.
"Uhh, sorry I didn't want to interrupt - Uhm", dad said. It was an awkward situation but Hansol and I smiled at each other.
"Uhh.. should I drive you home, Vernon?", my dad offered.
"I'm good, I will just walk. But thank you for the offer", Hansol answered smiling.
"No. I don't want you to get a cold from the rain", I insisted.
"Don't wo-", Hansol got interrupted by dad.
"Come on, Vernon", dad said jumping in his car. "I need to pick up something anyways".
Hansol glanced at my dad, then to me.
"We'll talk tomorrow, Y/N", he said, stroking my wet hair and rushing in dads car.

I stood a few minutes outside watching my dads car driving away. I let the rain drip on my head trying to clear my mind until I was fully drenched. I flashed upstairs after and was all jittery. I couldn't believe that I told Hansol about my feelings for him and that we were about to.. kiss? I took a shower to calm myself. As I got out I got another message.

Sunday 11:02PM
Y/N? Are you there? ㅠ_ㅠ Why aren't you replying?《

Oh, right. I forgot to reply to Taehyungs message earlier today. I used him to make Hansol jealous, but I can't just throw him away like that. Same for Joshua. I'll just make clear that I'm not interested and trying to be good friends with them, since they were so lovely to me. I hope they won't be disappointed, I mean.. I never had something serious with them. I hope they feel the same.

I was shaking due to that I couldn't stop thinking about Hansol. It feels like my love grew stronger for him day by day. No person ever made me feel like this before. I closed my eyes, listened to the rain sound and fell asleep with him on my mind.

ㅡ Hansol POV ㅡ

As I got in the car, Y/N's dad gave me a questioning look. We both put our seatbelts on and he started driving. After a minute of awkward silence,
"Do you like my daughter?", he suddenly asked.
"Of course, I do", I answered.
"I meant more like - Do you love her?", he asked. I gulped and was snared by his question.
"I saw how you guys looked at each other, you know? And I know that Y/N feels something for you", he sighed.
"How do you know?", I asked.
"She is my daughter, I just know it. But listen, if you don't feel anything for Y/N, then don't hurt her", he said with his deep voice.
"I love her", I swallowed. He looked at me.
"Do you?", he asked stopping at a traffic light. I nodded.
"I like you Vernon. I think you and Y/N would make a nice couple. But don't you dare hurt her feelings", Y/N's dad said patting my shoulder.
"I promise, I won't", I answered smiling.

I felt relieved after talking to Y/D/N. He encouraged me and gave me advices how to treat a girl. I never thought that I'd talk to an older man about this kind of stuff. But it really helped me.

*next morning*

I rang Y/N's doorbell. She opened the door and smiled right away as she saw me. We walked together to school, but it was kind of an weitd atmosphere because of yesterday probably. Plus, Mingyu and Seungkwan joined us on our way to school, that's why Y/N and I couldn't talk properly.

We walked into math class and exchanged small letters during the lesson;
H: Can we be alone in break? I can't be all open if everyone's around us
Y/N: Sure, let's go to the rooftop then
H: Alright, can't wait
Y/N: But make sure they don't see us walking there together, otherwise they will follow us
I nodded.

After the lessons, I saw Y/N rushing to the rooftop, giving me a smirk while looking back. I waited a little and told the others, that I needed to do something. They went alone to the cafeteria and I walked to the agreed meeting place - the rooftop, instead.

Arrived - I saw Y/N sitting in between all these flowers. But she was outstanding and looked beautiful as always. She was looking into the sky and didn't notice me yet. I sneaked behind her and covered her eyes.
"H-Hansol?", she flinched, putting her hands on mine.
"Yes, it's me", I laughed. She turned around and told me to sit next to her. The tensed atmosphere loosed, as we talked like we'd normally do - as best friends.

"I love you", I said as it got quiet. I thought it was the right time to say it. Y/N's eyes were glued to the ground.
"D-do you really?", she stuttered grabbing her skirt.
I raised her chin and nodded, eyesmiling. I got closer to her, and without thinking what I was about to do - I closed my eyes and went in for a slow kiss. She flinched a little as our lips touched, but she joined the kiss by placing her hand on my back.

ㅡ Y/N POV ㅡ

His lips were incredibly soft, I couldn't resist and placed my hand on his back to deepen it. It was my first real kiss and it felt good to give it to Hansol. Thousands or better: millions of butterflies swayed in my body. It was an amazing feeling. It almost felt like our kiss lasted for an eternity. I ended it with grinning into the kiss and moved back slowly.
"I love you too", I replied filled with happiness.

Hansol held my hand tight as I rested my head on his shoulder. We had 5 more minutes till the break was over.
"WOOOOW", someone shouted from behind. We both turned around and saw Mingyu staring at us.
"What is happening here? Did I miss something?", Mingyu laughed. Hansol and I acted like nothing happened.
"What do you mean?", Hansol asked nervously.
"Don't act like that. I saw you love-birds", Mingyu laughed pointing at us. Hansol and I looked at each other without saying a word.
"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. Are you guys together now? or will you keep it a secret", Mingyu asked walking towards us grinning. I didn't know what to answer so I let Hansol do the work.
"Yea, I guess", he murmured scratching the back of his head. I smiled at his answer.
"Wow.. and I thought you were into Joshua", Mingyu said teasingly to me.
"Naaaah", I said pushing him slightly.

Hansol, Mingyu and I went to P.E. I changed my clothes quickly and ran to the sports hall. Everyone was standing there staring at me, because I was a little late.
"Ooooh, look who is late", Nayeon said laughing, looking at her friends to get them laugh as well. I hated her, she always tried to make me look bad in front of others.
"Shut up", Joshua told her. I never thought that Joshua was able to say that kind of stuff. I gave him a smile to thank him. Before Nayeon could say anything - our P.E. teacher Mrs. Hwang arrived with Hansol who was holding a bag full of soft balls.

* after P.E. *

Angel and I walked out the changing room. Nayeon stepped in front of me.
"If you touch Hansol, you'll regret it", she said. I rolled my eyes trying to go past her, but she blocked me.
"Move", I said angrily. I was so pissed already, because she tried to make me look bad in P.E. already.
"Did you understand me?", she asked. Ugh, how I wished I could tell her that Hansol loves me, but I didn't say anything and pushed her away.
"Bitch", Nayeon mumbled. I didn't care and just left.
"Are you ok?", Angel asked concerned. I nodded.
"Is she always like that?", she asked again.
"Yup. We never liked each other", I said.

I told Angel about me and Hansol and our kiss. She was literally squealing the whole time and was beyond happy for us. She also told me that she has a thing for Jeonghan. I was so happy to have a friend like her whom I could tell everything and share my thoughts with. After school, I met Angel and Eve to introduce them to each other. We went shopping and had a lot of fun.

Suddenly, I got a call while we sat in a café. I stood up excused myself, went outside and picked up, while Angel and Eve were enjoying their teas.
"Hello?", I asked.
"Hey It's Taehyung", a deep voice said. "Ohh.. Taehyung! Hi, what's up?"
"You didn't reply and I was worried you gave me a wrong number", he said. I laughed.
"Anyways.. I wanted to ask if you have time tonight?", he asked. I thought about it for a second, but I have to tell him that I'm not interested so I we decided to meet up tonight.
