The bright light shines in your eyes before you woke up. You had fallen asleep by Kyouya's side, worried about his health.
His face looked so peaceful, until he opened his eyes.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to stare!"
"It's fine... (Y/n), are you going to leave me, now? Are you scared of me?"
Kyouya looked so vulnerable, like a child who lost their mother in the store, but above all, it broke your heart.
"No, of course not! You're still Kyouya and you haven't changed, you're still the same arrogant prince."
He patted your head with a soft smile.
"Thanks, Pupil."
Getting up to stretch your legs, you remembered about school. Kyouya couldn't go in this condition, but you needed to go, so you walked over to Ryunosuke.
"Uh... Akutagawa? Can you look after Kyouya? I'm running late for school."
"Sure..."
You muttered a 'Thanks', before walking out into the city again, where you caught a glimpse of silver hair draped into a ponytail.
"Hey there, (Y/n), what were you doing in there?"
"Oh, uh, I saw a dog run in there and I wanted to make sure it was okay."
"That's very kind you."
"Well, I'm late for school, so goodbye Ferid."
"Nonsense, I can drive you to school!"
You accepted his offer and told him where your school was.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Thanks again, Ferid!"
"Anytime."
He winked at you before driving off.
Suddenly, you were pushed to the ground by a random force.
"(Y/n)! You jerk! Where were you all night, you had me worried sick!"
"Shit, Aya, I'm so sorry."
"Yeah, right! You didn't even call!"
"Again, I'm so sorry, I must of not realized."
"You better be!"
Laughing awkwardly, you both went to class.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After school, remembering about Kyouya's condition, you had to come up with an excuse as to why you had to leave.
"Hey (Y/n)? Can I tell you something?"
"Y-yeah! Of course."
She sighed before continuing.
"My real name is not Ayaka, it's Ichiyou Higuchi. I'm a member of the Port Mafia."
Shocked, you stared at her as she took of her colored contacts revealing her dark brown eyes, and placed her hair in a messy bun before shoving her sunglasses in her face.
"Wh-what... No... You c-can't be serious..."
"I'm sorry you had to find out this way, I didn't know of any other way."
"You've been lying to me this entire time...? Why...?"
"I had no where to go... They brought me in, when no one else would. I haven't changed, I'm still me."
"I need some time to think about this..."
You grasped your bag and walked away, not looking back. You couldn't look back, it had to be a lie, but that was as likely as band-aids being the cure to cancer.
The sky grew dim and grey before small drops of water started pour down. Lucky, a silver haired man was there to save the day once more, covering your head with his umbrella.
"A pretty girl like you shouldn't get soaked by the rain."
He wore a smirk per usual, but he seemed more caring today and as if reading your thoughts, he spoke again.
"Why don't you come to my house? It's closer and Mika would love to see you again!"
"Sure, I need some of his cheerfulness right now."
Sharing the umbrella, you both walked to his house dodging the rain.
Once arriving at his door step, he unlocked the door to Mika, a purple-haired little boy, and a black haired teenage boy.
"I'm home!"
"Welcome home! Hey (Y/n)!"
Mika gave you a hug as the purple haired boy spoke up with excitement lacing his voice.
"Is she another lady friend?"
Bursting out in a red face you shook your head, but Ferid just laughed.
"No, at least not at the moment."
He winked at you before putting up his umbrella and walking to the kitchen, asking if you would like something to drink, which you responded in a simple 'No thank you'.
"I'm Lacus! What's your name?"
The energetic purple haired boy said beside Mika.
"(Y/n), it's nice to meet you, Lacus."
"Are you going to be our new mom?"
You turned red again and started rambling nonsense about how you weren't.
"Aww, I thought you would make dad happy again."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, dad flirts with a lot of girls, but when he comes home late at night, he's sad because no one ever stays with him for him. They either leave or just want his money. I've seen it so bad he cried once, I don't like it. His dad also makes him cry... I don't like him either, I think dad needs more love."
"But, what about your mom?"
"She divorced him, she only comes around a few times because of her job, so we stay with dad most of the time."
Clearing his throat, Ferid stood at the door way between the kitchen and living room. 'Was he listening this entire time?'
"That's enough chatter, (Y/n) shouldn't be burdened with my problems."
"Sorry, dad."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After all of the kids were put to bed, besides the teenager, who was known as Rene, you decided it was time to leave.
"Bye, Ferid, and sorry about barging in and learning about all of that."
"It's fine, you're special to me, so you were going to find out sooner or later."
He winked at you before you started to walk home. The rain had stopped awhile ago, so now the bright lights of the city guided you.
You sighed to yourself, three people you held close were apart of one of the most dangerous gangs in the world, Port Mafia. What were you going to do? What if someone came after them? What if they came after you?
Of course, you didn't know, but someone was watching you from afar and wouldn't let anything happen to you.
Yeah! Two updates in one day, I'm on fire!
