*Kenmas POV*
I finished tying my tie as Kuroo walked in. He was dressed in a black suit and tie, prepared for the party.
"You look amazing." I said to him, nervously.
"You look great too." He said, smirking as I became a blushing mess. I looked down at my white button up that was tucked into my black skinny jeans. I wasn't all that.
"You shouldn't be so nervous," Kuroo said. "You've been doing this for years."
"I know," I began. "But it's my first time speaking with all of our old friends there."
He turned me to face my mirror and put his hands on my shoulders. "They love you Kenma. And I love you too. You should be more confident. You're perfect."
I didn't know how to respond. "Th-thank you."
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. We finally made it, huh. After all of those years of hard work I finally get to contribute to society. Kuroo is a successful business man and I run this fundraising association.
I turned and hugged Kuroo.
"thank you." I said, my voice muffled as I spoke into his chest.
"I wouldn't be here without you. I love you so much." I said, tightening my grip.
He hugged me back and spoke, "I love you too Kenma. And I could never imagine living anyone else."
"Thank you..."
"Now let's go down and face that crowd!" Kuroo said, dragging me to where the party was taking place.
Finally, we walked down the steps together. Kuroo cleared his throat loudly, the crowd turning their head towards us.
"I would like to welcome you to our estate, and I hope you enjoy your stay." He said.
I gulped before speaking loudly.
"I'm glad you all could make it. Whether you're and old friend or here for business purposes, it's nice to have you all here. We will be holding the raffle later tonight. The charity we are raising money for this month is to help victims of domestic abuse in their recovery."
They nodded as Kuroo and I walked into the crowd. Soft music played as men and women danced. This parties theme was black and white ball, and was rather fancy. Everyone wore elegant dresses and suits, sipping bubbly champagne and eating finger sandwiches. Parties were never my scene, but if I wanted to help others this was how I could do it.
I sat down at a table that I had set hours ago, sighing as I looked at what my hard work had amounted to.
Then, I felt someone tap my shoulder. Turning around I saw Shōyo holding hands with Kageyama. He smiled at me, dropping the taller boys hand and hugging me.
I stiffened at his touch, but soon melted into his hug.
"I missed you Kenma! We all missed you so much!"
"I missed you too Shōyo, but what happened is for the best."
"I know," Shōyo pouted "but we all want you guys to come back."
"Sorry Shōyo, but I have my own life to live. The agency doesn't control me anymore."
"I'm glad you're happy. I'll tell you, I knew you were in love with Kuroo, but I always kinda liked you. I was really sad when you left, still am, but now I realize that you're right. You helped me realize I could get by as your friend rather than partner. It was for the best." He said, wrapping his arm around Kageyama's waist.
"Thank you." He said and walked away.
I smiled, happy to have helped him with whatever he was talking about.

We raised about 1,000 dollars that night, helping another charity flourish. I'm glad things worked out the way they did, and I've never been happier.
