Powers

Chapter 4 continued

"No," She replied.
"Okay," I said.
"Has anyone else woken up?" I asked.
"Scar has, but other than that no," She replied.
"Okay," I said.
"We're not in Rolla by the way," Shadow said.
"Where are we then?" I asked.
"I don't know," She replied.
"Okay. I am going to call my mom," I said.
I went to my bag. Then I pulled my phone out. I called her. No answer. Then I tried facebook message call. No answer. I tried my step dad. No answer.
"Shadow," I said.
"Yeah?" She asked.
"Try calling my phone. Please," I told her.
"Okay," She said.
She called my phone. It went off.
"Okay, why am I not able to call my parents, but I can get calls?" I asked.
"I don't know," Shadow said.
I decided to check the time. It was 2:00 p.m.
"Normally they would be up by now," I said.
"I am thirsty," said Shadow.
"Okay. Let me get you some water," I told her.
"Thank you," She said,"Here's my cup".
"You're welcome," I said.
I took her cup. Then I filled it up with water. I walked back to her carefully so I didn't spill any of it.
"Here you go," I said.
"Thanks," She said.
"No problem," I told her.
Then Shadow spilled her cup.
"Stop spilling water," I said.
The most weirdest thing happened. The water stopped moving. Literally.
"Shadow? Are you seeing what I am seeing?" I asked.
She nodded her head. Then I had a crazy idea. I went to go grab a cup.
"I have an idea," I told Shadow.
"What are you going to do?" She asked.
"Just watch," I said.
I closed my eyes. I move my hand over to the puddle on the floor. I could feel the water rising from the floor. I opened my eyes. The water was following my every hand movement. I positioned it to the cup. The water went in the cup.
"THAT WAS AWESOME!" I yelled, "I have powers!".
"Do I have powers?" Shadow asked.
"I don't know," I told her.
Someone entered the room.
"It seems like you have learned about your powers," The person said.
"Yeah. I can control water!" I told the person.
"You have a very special power, Axe. We have not had a person who can control water since... a very bad incident, that doesn't need brought up," He said.
"How do you know my name?" I asked.
"I took all of you here after the explosion," He said.
"Who are you?" Scar asked.
"I am Dr. Bob," He said.
"Why can't I call my mom? I want to tell her that I am okay," I said.
Suddenly Scar, Zeke, and Omega woke up.
"Where are we?" All of them asked at the same time.
"A hospital. And this is Dr. Bob," I told them.
"Everyone get into your normal clothes. There are curtains at each bed so you can have some privacy," Dr. Bob said.
We opened our curtains. I finished first. Then Zeke, Shadow, Scar, then Omega came out at different times.
Scar and Omega stood next to each other. I stood next to Shadow. Shadow and I started holding hands. Same thing with Scar and Omega.
"Let's go outside to get some fresh air," Dr. Bob said.
So we headed out side. In a few seconds we were outside.
"What happened to my mom?" I asked Dr. Bob.
"Ah. This is the reason why we went out side," Dr. Bob said, "Axe you may not take this well".
"I can take it," I said.
"Axe your mom, step dad, and everyone's parents were kidnapped by the same people who attacked you. And this happened while you all were passed out,".
An uncontrollable anger filled over my body. Everyone looked at me like they were horrified. My face was read with anger. I could feel my powers getting ready to blow.
"EVERYONE GET BACK!!!" Dr. Bob yelled.
Every one backed up. Dr. Bob created a magical shield around everyone. The anger was to powerful to control any more. I released a ton of water. But water was red. I retreated part of my anger. The water that was around me acted like an explosion. Water went everywhere.
I calmed down. Dr. Bob retreated his shield. Shadow ran over to me as I was starting to faint. She caught me before I did.
"Axe," She said softly, "What was that?"
"I was really pissed off," I said.
I stood up.
"First, they stalked me. Second, hurt my friends, and even worse my girlfriend. Third, the stole our parents. THEY ARE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS!" I yelled.
"You must train first. All of you. You must at least have two powers. And be related to a Greek God. Obviously Axe is related to Poseidon," Dr. Bob said.
I focused on archery. Nope. I nearly shot Zeke in the head.
"Sorry!" I yelled.
I tried sword practice. I was good but I couldn't use any of the swords. They were either to small or way to big. Then Dr. Bob pulled out a sheath. It was black with a ton of designs that were made of silver. There was a big, black triangle with a slightly smaller one in the middle of it that was gray. The blade's handle was black. There was a black diamond in the middle of both sides of the hilt.
"Here. Try this sword," Dr. Bob said.
I put sheath on. It was light. I pulled out the sword. The blade was black. It was perfect.
"This is perfect! What is the sword's name?" I asked.
"The sword's name is up to you," Dr. Bob said.
"It reminds me of Dark Link's sword from the legend of zelda," I said.
"Is this what you wish to call it?" Dr. Bob asked.
"No. Backbiter," I said.
"Is this what you want to call it?" Dr. Bob asked.
"Yes," I said.
"Just so you know. That sword is made from celestial bronze. It can't cut through mortal flesh. But it can cut through demigod flesh and it kills monsters," Dr. Bob said.
"What about a shield?" I asked.
Dr. Bob pulled out a gray shield with no design to it.
"You must design it yourself," He said.
"Thanks," I said.
"No problem," Dr. Bob said.
I walked off to work on my shield. About an hour later I finished it. It was the Hylian Shield but it was Dark Link's shield. I put on the shield. I walked outside. I saw Shadow sitting by herself. I walked up to her. I sat down next to her.
"Hey, Shadow," I said.
"Hey, Axe," She said.
"Did you figure out which Greek God you're related to yet?" I asked.
"Yeah. I am related to Apollo," She said.
"That means you are good with a bow, right?" I asked.
"Right," She said.
"Mind if I were to do something?" I asked.
"No. I don't mind," She said.
I gave her a kiss. It lasted about thirty seconds until we were interrupted.
"I totally ship you guys," said Scar.
"How long have you been there?" I asked.
"I saw the whole thing," Scar told us.
"Why, must you get in our business?" Shadow asked.
"I was going to talk to Axe, but I saw you guys kissing so I just waited," Scar said.
"What do you want to tell me?" I asked.
"I am related to Hera," she said.
"NO! Why can't you be related to Poseidon?" I yelled.
"I don't know, Axe," She said.
It sucks that she is not my sister.
"So, what are your powers, Shadow?" I asked.
"I can control people with music, make music weapons, I don't know my last power," She said.
"Scar, what are your powers?" I asked.
"I can control the elements, turn invisible, and fly," She said.
Suddenly Omega appeared.
"Omega what are your powers?" Scar asked.
"Darkness and I can control fire," He replied.
"Cool!" I yelled.
Scar gave me an angry look.
"Sorry," I said.
Zeke appeared.
"Hey Zeke! What are your powers?" I asked.
"I can control water, walk into fire with out being burned, and
that's all I know right now," He said.
"Who already has a weapon and a shield?" I asked.
"I am working on my shield," Omega said.
"What does your sword look like?" I asked.
He unsheathed a sword. It was the Master Sword.
"Check out my sword," I said.
I unsheathed Backbiter.
"How do you like it?" I asked.
"WHAT? YOU HAVE DARK LINK'S SWORD?!" He asked.
"Pretty cool right?" I asked.
"It's awesome," He said.
I sheathed my sword.
"Check out my shield," I said.
I unsheathed my shield. Or at least tried to. It took a while but I got it undone.
"That took to long," Omega said
"Let me see your shield".
I gave him my shield. He turned around. A few minutes later he turned back around.
"Here you go," Omega said.
It was a watch.
"What did you do to my shield?!" I asked.
"Put on the watch then tap the glass with the palm of your hand," He told me.
I put on the watch. I touched the glass. Suddenly my shield came out of the watch.
"Awesome! Thanks Omega!" I said.
"No problem. You have Dark Link's sword and shield. Now all you need is his outfit," He said.
I put away my shield. I walked over to Shadow.
"You okay?" I asked.
"I am just cold," She said.
She was shivering. I grabbed my bag. I pulled out a blanket for her.
"Here," I said.
I wrapped her up in it.
"Thanks," She said.
"Sit down," I told her.
She sat down. I sat next to her. She put her head on my shoulder. Scar whispered something in Omega's ear.
"I love you, Axe," Shadow said.
"I love you too," I said.
We sat there for a while.
Dr. Bob started walking up the hill.
"Hello Dr. Bob," said Omega.
"Hello," He said.
He looked like he just seen a ghost.
"Are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost," I said.
"There are monsters out in the back of the Hospital," He said "Follow me! Hurry!".
We got up. Scar grabbed her bow. I didn't notice it.
We ran for the back of the Hospital. Shadow summoned a weapon. It looked like a guitar.
Zeke unsheathed his ice sword and metal shield. I unsheathed my sword and shield. There was a high pitched scream. I looked around for Shadow. I saw her laying down on the battlefield. Blood was underneath her.
