but please don't touch.Saturday's were usually spent sleeping and going shopping for things that were and weren't needed.
But today was different. Today was the dinner party that Val and Caleb decided on going to. Well not really Val more of Caleb since he was the one forcing her to go.
But she reluctantly gave in. Caleb was the one doing all the work though. He was getting the outfits and making sure he and Val didn't have any plans at that time.
The dinner was at seven. Caleb had found out by looking it up since the man hadn't put it on the card. He also found out that it was being hosted in an old mansion.
Everything was layed out and ready but it still wasn't time yet. So, Valerie decided on going to lunch by herself. Something she did often-she enjoyed it. She loved that she could eat a meal without having to make unnecessary conversations.
She walked into the restaurant, Stanley's and got a table for one. During her lunch she caught stares from people because of her beauty and from sitting alone. But she payed no attention to them.
"Ms. are you ready to order?" The waiter asked nodding his ahead to the menu. "May I get a glass of wine for now?" She couldn't decide just yet what she wanted and wine was always her favorite thing during a meal.
"Yes mam. Will that be all for now?" He asked Val while writing in his pad.
"Yes that'll be all...Jeffery" she read his name tag while giving him a fake smile. He bought it and left her getting her wine.
Valerie sat at the small table looking out of the window at the sun. She wasn't infatuated by the moon or the sun like most woman she just liked it to be sunny outside then for it to rain.
"Here you are Mrs." The waiter had the wine in a small silver bucket of ice. "Would you like for me to pour the wine for you?"
"Yes and Im ready to order my food."
"And what will that be?"
"I would like the steak and potatoes with a side of broccoli." She spoke, never letting her eyes leave the plastic menu.
"And how would you like your steak?" He asked.
"Medium rare" "okay your food will be here soon, here's some bread and butter" he put the brown bread on the table then left her again.
Ding, ding.
Valerie heard her phone ring notifying that someone was calling her. She took her phone out of her purse and saw who was calling. Her mother.
"Hello?"
"Hey honey how have you been?"
"Good what's wrong?"
"Nothing everythings good I just called to check up on you. You don't need any money or anything right?"Valerie sighed her mom never left her alone she always wanted to know what she was doing if she never included her in her life but she did that for a reason.
"I'm fine mom if I needed money which I don't I would call. How's Sebastian?"
"You don't know?"
"No we don't talk. He's busy. I'm busy."
"For god sakes he's your brother-"
"Is he okay or not?"
