Six.
It's hard to resist when you look like that.
Make me feel as intense as you look."You two know each other?" Christian asked.
Jason watched as my mouth opened to respond but still cut me off quickly.
"How is that any of your business?" Jason asked with his perfectly arched eyebrows.
Surprisingly, Christian wasn't taken back from his words, it's like he felt them oftenly.
"Excuse me. I have to use the lady's room." I said.
I sat my drink on the table, held my clutch in my sweaty hand and left the two men to hash out the situation.
The funny thing about Jason is that I could leave him to deal with whatever I'd leave behind and he'd have me to try and figure out his words.
I leaned on the bathroom door, thinking of different answers on why he said what he said. I needed to know before going out there.
Did he say it because I was talking to Christian? Was he jealous?
I heard the women around me whispering delicately. I imagined them powdering their noses and reapplying their lipstick.
I smiled to myself imagining my mother doing the same, like she did multiple times before when we went to galas like this.
I rubbed my bottom lip, as my smile got bigger. I noticed some of my lipstick had come off from the glass I was slowly taking sips from.
I was planning on having another but Jason was here now. I had to be smart.
"Excuse me. . .is anyone in here?. . .i really have to tinkle." I felt hard knocks hit the door. I lifted off the door and unlocked it.
"Thank you, thank you, thank y-you look familiar." I slid out the stall to look up and see the girl who bumped into me earlier.
"I bet I do. You uh-you bumped into me earlier and I gave you a speech." I said walking to the bathroom mirror.
I applied more gloss to my lips and watched her stand in the stall with the door open. Something about her was so familiar. Like i knew her from somewhere else.
"Right, about that. . .i forgot to say thanks. I'm happy you got on me and not my brothers." She said while rolling her eyes. She shut the door leaving me to stare at the black stall door.
"Your brothers?" I asked her wanting to know more.
"Yea you know what they say, when you're the baby sister the boys are always protective." She giggled.
"Relatable. I have an brother too. It gets better when you get older." I slipped my gloss back into my clutch and stared at myself to see if I needed any touch ups.
I heard the toilet flush and soon she came out with a smile on her face. "It's sucks though, right? Always having to sneak to do stuff. It's like they expect me to stay an angel forever." She walked over to the sink to squeeze soap out of the machine and sat her hands under the faucet waiting for the water to come on automatically.
I laughed as I watched the young girl complain of silly problems. "Like I said, it gets better." She looked up at me and smiled. I smiled back.
She was very pretty. Long eyelashes to shield her brown eyes and her smile was bright and inviting.
