Still
I will not kiss you--
Yoongi begged, he wanted to leave the four corners of the hospital room. If these were his last days he wants to spend it outside and not stuck in a bed with false hope of recovering. He wanted to spend his days with his best friend he secretly loves. Travelling infamous places around their state with their bicycles. Staying up late in an abandoned library. Sleep over at the highest rooftop they could find. Lay down in abandoned theme parks.
They are the happiest with each other. Just the two of them.
After a week he finally saw those black sparkling eyes and it ignited something inside of him. His heart thumping faster as the younger boy embraces him, his nose filled with Jungkook's vanilla scent he just couldn't get enough of. How much he misses this.
"Yoongi hyung, you should've told me that you were visiting you're grandparents in Daegu. I worried for no reason!"
"I'm sorry." for lying.
After a long tight hug he looked at his hyung with eyes in crescents. He sighed at the view in front of him. It was better than any sun set he has seen. He was better. Jungkook is ethereal. And if love could just cure, he would be back to his healthy state.
But love doesn't conquer all.
"I like you." Yoongi blurted out.
The older is expecting a shocked expression, maybe even a rejection, from him but his eyes we're still in crescents and pearly whites shown.
"I know."
His gaze from his eyes were now at Yoongi's lips. The atmosphere became serious as Jungkook starts leaning in. Yoongi would be so happy right now. His love wasn't unrequited at all. And he was about to kiss the love of his life for God's sake.
But instead, his frown deepened. He just doubled the pain.
"I'm sorry."
Yoongi said, turning away.
