" *groans* ughhhhh- my god~"

6:30 AM, I have to get up. Time to go to college. My room will be empty once I leave..

" Shit... "

"Karén, did you get up!?"

" Yes- Ma! "

" Alright! Start getting your boxes ready, so Kamron can drive you! "

" Alright! "

Most of my boxes are scattered around my room. But it's whatever, Kamron better help me with bring them to the car. Most of these boxes are heavy as shit.

I start piling up the boxes next to the door. Slowly taking out my back. I left about 3 boxes at the door, and I went to bathroom to wash up.

" Karen! Where your boxes? So I can put them in car. "

" They're by the door, Kamron. "

" Aight, you better hurry up, cause' I'm not waiting for you "

" Aight, Lemme eat and everything "

To bad for taking my time

I continued eat my breakfast faster now and then my mom started to speak to me.

" So, Karén Rodriguez is going to university... "

" Oh~ Ma don't get sad on me.. " I started tearing up.

" I'm sorry baby, it's just that I'm just going to lonely without you here.. "

" Aw. But you have Kamron here. "

"Aye, you know how he is, never wants to spend time with me "

" Don't worry Ma, I'll make him, real disrespectful child. " I crossed my arms.

Just as we were talking about him, he yelled from outside.

" YO KAREN, COME ON?! "

" Alright?! "

" Alright Ma, te veo, I love you." I hugged her.

" I love you too, be good in school you hear me?"

" Yes Ma. " I smiled.

I took my bags and headed outside, to were I see Kamron with a flushed face with anger, arms crossed and feet tapping.

I gave him the 'whatever' face.

" So I told you specifically not to take long, you completely ignore my suggestion."

" I was saying goodbye to my mother, can I not do that? "

" Whatever Karén, let's go. "

We went inside the car, and he began to drive. Awkward silence.

I broke it.

" You know Ma's lonely? "

" what do you mean?" eyes still on the road.

" You know, has nobody to be with when she doesn't have her favorite, chaming, wonderful child with her" I flipped my hair.

"Oh, aye dios Karén. Stop acting you're the best. " thats when he glared at me.

" Well, it seems like it, since all I do is spend time with her. What have you been doing? "

"..."

" Exactly, Kamron. "

" I have my reasons though. "

" And what are they? "

" Well, I have a lot of shit to do "

" So, your telling me that you'd rather do your shit, then spend time with your own mother? Ok Kamron. "

" Shut up Karén? "

" Oh I'll be quiet. " giving him sass.

We drove the rest of way in silence.
