Love Ain't Easy

•Episode 4: Determination•

I was nudged awake by Harriet. I woke up with such confusion.

" Wake up girl " she chuckled as she said it.

" Huh?... "

" Check ya phone missy "

As told I checked my phone. It was 8:47 AM. Which meant that I'm late. I have to leave the dorm now. Pronto.

"Omg Harriet thank you for being the friend that you are and actually waking me up and-"

"-No problem now go, stop talking haha"

"Right"

I quickly got ready and ran thru the hall to go to my first class. There's nothing more then to walk in late. I briskly went to my desk and immediately started taking notes. Just as when I was talking out my notebook I saw Viviana from my peripherals.
She mouths "hi" and so I do I, and continued with my note-taking.

"Hey you okay?"

"Yeah yeah, just woke up late that's all."

"Don't worry about the notes, she tends to talk so much. I'll lend you mine if you want?"

"Thanks, I stood up late last night..."

"that could explain why you didn't reply back to me hah" she chuckled.

"Oh my god. My bad I didn't know..."

"It's okay honestly hah- I know you where doing your own thing last night."

"Oh. Well you tell me when you still help, this time I won't leave you on seen." I smiled back at her for confirmation.

She smiled back so it was dealt with. I was exhausted already, procrastination is not good at these times. I might need to start going to the library.

then so be it...

I sighed, only to look at my phone involuntary to check the time. I was about to be time for my second class. I packed up and headed out the door

And finally done...
I yawned with an added growl to my stomach. I stretched to give myself at least a little bit of energy, then tended to my books and was walking towards the door to lunch.

"Hey-"

"Oh hey. I didn't see you there, I'm sorry."

"Oh no you didn't bump into me, I wanted to ask you something. "

"Oh what is it?"

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah- Yeah why does everyone think I'm not?"

"Well I don't know about other people but I just wondering. You seemed pretty down last night "

"Yeah? But how would you know that?"

He cleared his throat.

"You're caramel latte Miss Karen?"

"Ohh- Sorry, I didn't realize that was you."

"It's fine hah- not a lot of people recognize me when I have my uniform on."

"I don't recall you're name though."

" ah- Leon"

"Right. Thanks for the latte Leon, helped a lot. I might get another one to be very honest- "

I awkwardly walked off and at least waved him goodbye. And headed towards the cafeteria.

"You good now girl?"

"Yeah Harry haa~ I need food in my system."

"Alright that's good."

"Everyone kept asking if I was okay in class today."
"don't I look okay?"

"Well, I'm not trying to be mean or anything but you did look dead when I woke you up."

"Ahí well I'm fine."

"Okay missy."

"Where's Alyiah?"

"About to come in right now."
