I stared Ace in the eyes as he handed me my check. I stood and counted 5 grand before moving to the side to let him pay his other workers
I hesitated for a moment before walking back over to his desk. "Uhm let me talk to you for a minute" I say and he dismissed his workers sitting back in his seat.
"Im taking this job uh..I don't really know when Im starting or..if I'm getting hired but Im just telling you in advance If or when I do get it" I say lowly and he stared at me, I just prepared for the bullshit coming my way.
"Alright" He says shrugging and continuing to count his money. "Foreal?"
"Yea foreal, But Im giving someone else your spot if your not on time you hear me? and make sure you catch up with school we don't need no dropouts" He says and I nod slapping hands with him.
"I got you Ace" I smile and he winked at me before I headed out but stopping in my tracks remembering one more thing.
"Some other dudes was posted up at our corner the other day, I think you should handle it" I say and he had a twisted up facial expression.
"Thats what I have workers for, Y'all fucking handle it!" He said finally dismissing me and I walked out of his house getting into the passenger seat of Dom's trucks.
Dom was like a brother to me, so was Ace. They weren't blood related but they took me under their wing and took care of me not like my ain't shit parents.
Wont even get into details on that one.
"Hungry?" Dom ask and I click my seatbelt nodding my head. "Good me too I ain't eat shit almost all day" He says rubbing his stomach and flashing his mouth full of golds.
"Hey go by that dinner place I need to see if that chicks there to get me a job and he nodded his head turning the music up to max volume.
After about 20 minutes of driving I became bored and we came upon our original spot were we sold and those same punks from the other night were there.
"Hold on pull up over here" I say and Dom groaned but doing what I told. I got out, both of my Jordan covered feet hitting the hard gravel.
"Pretty sure I warned your ass before to stay from over here, wouldn't want to get my boss involved" I started walking towards white boy and his lame ass friends.
"Well shit tell him to get involved then, Selina" Carl says biting his lip walking towards me.
"You remember my name?"
"Course I do shorty, How can I not" He replies trying to touch me but I move my hand out of the way laughing it off.
"Your funny , I like you Carl" I chuckle and he blushed trying to hide his smile. "Selina lets go!" Dom called and I flipped him off.
"But no seriously Carl find somewhere else to do your dirty work" I tell him walking back over to the truck.
"No promises princess" He says and I looked back at him watching him blow a kiss. "Tuh, whatever " I mumble getting into the passenger seat and putting my seatbelt back on.
"Alright lets ride"
