The time has come. Guests were finally coming to the Burrow to celebrate the marriage of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour. Ava volunteered to welcome guests. Mostly because she wanted to know for sure if her family was coming.

She continued to look for them through the crowd, throwing out thank you's and have a great time every once in awhile to the incoming guests.

Ava kept telling herself that it would be okay if they weren't able to come. Maybe it was better for their safety. I mean the Weasley's are risking a lot having me here, and Harry of course.

She was pulled out of her thoughts when she felt a tap on her shoulder. It was Molly.

"Hello Molly. How are you doing today?" Ava asked her.

Molly just gave her a half-smile and nodded her head at the apparition point.

Ava was terribly confused on what she meant but she turned her head towards the apparition point anyway.

She saw a woman with messy jet black hair, and a tall man with dirty blonde hair, almost brown. Following close behind the couple were two little kids, both with brown hair. There were several other kids, older, following behind them, all smiling widely at Ava.

In that moment, she realized it was her family smiling and walking towards her. Ava screamed in delight and took of running towards them in her pink cork wedges.

When she reached them she threw herself in their arms. They did a huge family hug.

"That's the fastest I've ever seen anyone run in heels," her older brother Justin said.

They all erupted into laughter.

"I missed you guys so much!" Ava said looking at her family all standing around her.

This time, her mom stepped forward and grabbed Ava's hand holding them in her own, looking down at them. "Ava, we have your birthday present with us. We're gonna give it to you tonight because I don't think we can make it here on your birthday."

"But Mom, you have to be here. I'm coming of age. We've never been apart for a birthday."

"I know honey," Angela's voice now cracking, "but, it's to dangerous. We're already risking as much as it is. It's just the way it has to be."

There was a long moment of silence before Ava said, "Why? Why does it have to be that way?"

"I know it hurts baby. It's terrible you have to grow up in a world with so much hate and violence in it.  I wish so much that it didn't have to be this way. I promise as soon as this is all over, we can go back to a normal family, one that doesn't have to be separated all the time."

Ava and her mom stared at each other for a long time. Ava didn't have anything else to say to her mother. She knew it couldn't be different, but it worth trying to change things.

Her older brother, Alex coughed, getting their attention. They both turned towards their family watching the pair of them. "I believe there is a wedding that is about to start."

"Oh! That reminds me! You'll never guess who's here!"

This time it was her older sister, Alicia who spoke up. "Who could it possibly be that would have you that excited?"

"I'll tell you who! It's Charlie! He surprised me last night. Let me go get him!" Then Ava took off running into the tent to find Charlie.

Alicia looked at Allison and said, "I wish they would just date each other already." Allison nodded.

In the tent

Ava ran into the tent, searching for Charlie. She spotted his signature flaming red Weasley hair.
