THE ACADEMY

•I sped through the football field with a fastened past to reach the other side. Although I now carried a limp, I knew I wasn't going to die here..I-I can't die here.
Out of breath, injured, and underdressed in cold weather wasn't my idea of a good night out.
I thought to myself, knowing it was a dumb idea coming out here. What was I thinking?
I continued to make my way across the football field and to the back side of the school building.
The cold air hitting me in the face, my actions were a mix of looking back, nearly tripping on air, and bleeding.
Huff..Huff..
The more I ran the more I bled. I stopped around the hugely built, brick school corner to take a breather.
Holding tightly onto my disrupted abdomen. It was bad, really bad. Blood seeped through my black shirt and out between my numb fingers.
" Come out, Come out wherever you are! " called out a voice.
" The little turd couldn't of gotten far, I know I saw her come this way." hollered out another.
The voices were terribly close, making me jerk my blood covered face around the corner. I held my mouth to prevent any noticeable fog.
There they were, dressed in all black without a single drop of blood on them, I still couldn't believe they'd do this.
They were scattered around, about four of them in view. Scanning everywhere for me.
Why couldn't they just leave me alone like everyone else, I thought..I was lucky to get out while I could. Let's hope I can make it home.
Trying my hardest not to make a sound I swiftly made way further to the back of the creepy, old academy.
It might as well have been a cemetery with all the dead bushes, cracked concrete and stretched, shadowy windows. Always gave me the chills and now I know why. Sadly.
I came across the back academy doors. They stood tall and rusted, barely ever used so they should be unlocked, I thought.
Pulling on the handles of the one closes, quickly realizing they were locked. The tugging of the doors made them creak, I turned to make sure no one had heard.
" There she is! " barked a figure pointing my way.
The figures began to gather and hustle towards me. Almost unnoticeably I pulled and tugged even banged on the doors. To my luck, the door burst open practically throwing me on my feet.
I darted into the dimly lit halls of the academy. Closing the door behind me, making sure to lock them so to give me more time.
I needed to process what just happened out there and think of an escape plan. Quick.
