"What are you planning, Styles?" I asked when he finally let go of my grip. I had to run my hand over my wrist due to the pain. He folded the arms of his green and white plaid shirt back and continued to walk ahead.
"Hello?" I waved my hand, exclaiming loudly. "Are you going to answer me or what?" I add on when he finally decides to turn around, a half smile making its way up to his face.
"Look, follow me..." He says, avoiding my question. And I do what he says, because if I didn't, he would be more annoying. And before I know it, we are standing in front of a fence, as Harry slowly unties the rope that closures the entrance.
"What are you doing? What is this?" I question as he unties the last bits of the tied knot. He wipes off a bit of sweat off his forehead before giving me a shaggy grin. "This... this is a magical place," He grins, smiling to himself.
As we push past the entrance, I couldn't help but question him my lingering thought. "Hey, are we supposed to go here or what?"
"No." He states flatly, not even the least of being worried.
"No?" I repeated unsurely. He nods, taking off his sandals and flicking some sand with his bare feet.
"Hiscock warned everyone not to go here. It was one of the long lists of rules," He shrugged, continuing to walk ahead. Before answering him, I look around the place, and truthfully, it was really pretty. There was a crystal, blue private beach that stretched from a far distance.
"But I don't remember her doing that!" I reasoned, very confused.
"No shit, sherlock. We missed it, we were late, remember?" He reminded, taking a seat in one of the blue deck chairs.
"Right," I agreed embarrassingly. "We missed it,"
I hadn't realized that my anger towards him and practically everyone was suddenly vanished and out of sight. What had happened suddenly?
Suddenly, I came to realize what his words meant, already getting hyped up. "So, this is illegal?" I cried, raising my voice.
"Yep," He nodded, looking out the lake.
"So, we aren't supposed to be here?" I kept on questioning.
"Precisely," He mumbles.
"Then what the hell are we doing here?" I shrieked. "I don't want to get kicked out!"
He glanced at me, rolling his eyes abruptly. "Calm down," He sighed, shaking his head. "If you keep on yelling, you just might get the both of us caught and we will both be in trouble..." His words made my shoulders perk up as I gave him a nervous glare.
He licked his lips before continuing. "And also, you don't have to be worried, I've been doing this since last year. Never did I ever get caught," He informed, chuckling to himself. "And...." He began again. Looking straight at me, his green eyes parallel to where my ocean ones were. " Be grateful I took you here, you are the only one who knows about me going here. You are also the only one who I've also invited along with me,"
My shoulders slumped back down as I took the seat next to him- on the red deck chair. "Why wouldn't she allow us to be here, then?" I asked out of curiosity. "It sounds selfish,"
"How am I supposed to know that?" He muttered in shock. "No one even comes here, anyways," He rolled his eyes, and we were back to silent mode. But a couple of minutes later, I heard shuffling and when I turned around, I saw him trying to take off his shirt.
"What are you doing?" I cried in surprise.
"Taking off my shirt..?" He replied.
"Put it back on," I hesitatingly shot back, closing my eyes.
"Why? Does it bother you?" And without even looking at him, I knew that his infamous smirk was already visible.
"No!" I exclaimed, overwhelmingly shocked by his outrageous actions. "Just put it back one!" I hesitatingly ordered, getting impatient by his immature actions.
"Nope," He shrugged, walking to the shallow water. "I do what I want,"
And with his statement, he jumped into the water, disappearing under.
His head poked back up a few seconds later, "Are you coming here or what?"
I shook my head and walked back to where I had put my stuff earlier. I began carrying it out the way, making him turn heads. "Where are you going?"
"Somewhere that's not with you," I scoffed bitterly.
"That's it?" He chuckled humorously. "You're gonna chicken out?"
"Me? Chickening out?" I couldn't help but suppress a small giggle. "That's very funny,"
"I am not the one who's being funny, though," He commented. "It's you."
"How?"
"You really want me to explain?" He retorts from the water. I don't answer and he gets that he could continue on. "I bet that you are leaving because this is not one of the rules," He smirked, splashing a wave of water towards me. I jumped at his actions, hissing back bitterly.
"Ha-ha. No, not because of that," I narrowed my eyes, "If you didn't know, I have done lots of other illegal, rule-breaking things back home," I challenged, retracing a few steps.
"Sure," He stiffened a small chuckle. "What illegal thing did you do? Steal a candy from a baby?" He began talking in a high pitched voice, making me enraged.
"No," I protested angrily.
"Then what?"
"I.... I didn't wear uniform for a day,"
It didn't take him that long to crack up in a chorus of laughter. "That's it?" He raised a brow at me, looking away.
"Geez, I was joking, though that was true," I shrugged, pushing a strand of my hair back.
"Sure," He whistled, using his hands to make air quotes.
"I ditched school two times,"
He pretended to gasp but then rolled his eyes playfully. "So rebellious, oh my god!" He teased sarcastically. "I got suspended 4 times in High School."
"Shut up, Harry." I rolled my eyes, retracing a few more steps.
"Oh, so you're not gonna leave now, huh?" He questioned.
I shook my head and remove my tan cardigan. "Actually, now that I think about it, I am in the mood for an afternoon swim, anyways." I gave him a deceitful look before walking towards the water.
