"Good morning," Liz knocked lightly then came in to my room. It was just before ten, and I was already awake, reading a book I'd found in my room.

"Good morning," I replied, jumping up off my bed, smiling at her.

"Can we talk?" She asked, sitting on the end of my bed. I sat back down, crossing my legs.

"Of course," I nodded. I already knew what it would be about, they were making me leave. I'd already been here a few days, and they were sick of me.

"It's about these um... living arrangements," she started out, and I was sure I was right. "Jo- your dad and me, we think this should... become a permanent thing," I smiled, I was ecstatic to be wrong. They wanted me here, they actually wanted me! "We want you to stay here with us, which means you're going to have to enroll in school, and-"

"You really want me to stay?!" I smiled widely.

"Of course we do, sweetie! All we're asking us that you follow our rules. Just respect us, and all the kids, clean up after yourself, tell us before you leave, be home by nine on school nights and ten on the weekends, simple things like that."

"Of course, no problem!" I jumped up and hugged her.

"Hm, that was pretty easy," she smiled. "Now get dressed, it's going to be a busy day," she patted my shoulder then left me alone.

I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and hair, then put my hair up in a bun, and went back to me room. I put on a pair of jeans a bit too big for me, a plain gray tee shirt, and a pair of tennis shoes. I headed down the stairs, found Liz, and told her I was ready.

"What are we doing?" I smiled, ready to help her with her errands.

"We're going to get you some school supplies, some clothes, shoes, and anything else you might need." She tossed a pack of pop-tarts to me, and we started out of the house.

"Thank you, you don't need to do all this. What you already gave me is plenty."

"Nonsense, those are all too big for you, and you deserve things of your own. It's not a problem at all," She half hugged me, then we got in her car.

There were so many cool things to see in New York, and I was now living right by it all. I couldn't wait to see everything, meet everyone, or go everywhere.

I couldn't wait to be a part of this family.

I was happy with this place, and I would never want to leave.

I knew I wouldnt.
