today i get to get out of school early, but i have to go to the doctors. i still haven't told shawn about the news that i received from the doctors, a mere few months ago.

the news that i might not even live to meet shawn. that my body might give up before july 29th, or december 7th, (at the jingle ball in philly) if i meet him then. who knows.

i took a deep breath, wishing for the best as i stepped into the large hospital complex.

+ 2 hours later +

tears cascaded down my cheeks as the doctors words rang in my years.

61 days until my heart stopped beating. until my body would no long suffer through this pain.
