"Good morning Taiga." Kana smiled. The red haired boy leaned away from her shoe cubby, once again scaring the boys who tried to do anything crazy.
"Morning Kana." Kagami said, dangling a lunchbox in front of the girl. "Here."
Kana's eyes sparkled as she accepted the bento. Her heart was being filled with warmness and happiness as she looked at the pink wrapping while Kagami had a blue one.
"Thank you Taiga. I'll eat it all!" She smiled, making him blush. Kagami scratched the back of his neck, embarrassed because the fact that his name rolled off her tongue so nicely and how happy she was over a silly lunchbox.
"T-Those two are on a first name basis?!?"
"What did he do to our Kana-sama!"
"KANA-CHAN ACCEPT MY FEELINGS INSTEAD OF THAT BENTO!"
"Kana-chan! I'll feed you at lunch!"Boys began to crowd around the girl, separating her from Kagami.
All she wanted to do was switch her shoes...
"What do you say Kana-chan?!"
"Say cheese!"
"Kana-chan, your hair is so adorable!"
"Kana-chan is looking at me!! I'm melting!!"A tall figure loomed over the crowd with a dark aura, glaring with piercing red eyes. The boys made a pathway for the giant, some almost peeing in their pants.
"This is my girlfriend." Kagami stated, grabbing Kana's wrist and dragging her away softly.
The girl blushed from the fierceness of his voice. It shut everyone up and made them stare in awe. It wasn't everyday you got to see a statement like that.
Kagami tried to avoid the girl's gaze, but when she stopped on her tracks, he did too and turned around with a confused look.
"Taiga... You actually consider me your girlfriend?" Kana asked quietly with pink cheeks. Kagami gave her a confused look.
"Of course. Didn't I accept your 30 day pass?" He clarified, making the girl nod. "Then why would you ask me that?"
Kana looked at his hand that was still gripping on her wrist tightly. The hold wasn't painful or too loose, it was steady and comfortable.
"...It makes me happy to hear that Taiga." She confessed, "Very happy."
He smiled at her gently, "Then be happy then, weirdo."
Kana panicked. He called he weirdo! Was it really that weird to be happy that Kagami told basically the whole school that she was his girlfriend?!
"Gah! So cute!" Kagami whispered to himself, and the two continued to walk.
"U-Um... My little brother wants to meet you. My mom too. Hiiro is freaking out because you beat a guy named Aoi..Aoinime?" Kana asked herself, "No... Oaemi?"
"Ahomine?" Kagami laughed at her, "Aomine Daiki."
"That's his name?!" Kana asked, feeling bad. She was so off, and she wasn't even close.
"I have tickets for a basketball game on Saturday. We'll be playing against Rakuzan High in the finals and you can come..." He told her, blushing. He didn't want to let her know that he purposely ordered an extra ticket for her. "M-My dad can't make it and Kuroko gave me his ticket..."
"Kagami-kun, what are you talking about?" Kuroko asked, confused. Kagami jumped in surprise and Kana almost fell over but luckily her boyfriend was quick to react and caught her.
"O-Oi!! How long have you been here?!?" Kagami asked, red faced. He kept chanting in his mind, Please don't sell me out. Please don't sell me out.
"I've been here the whole time." Kuroko frowned, "What do you mean I gave you the ticket? We could order however many we wa–"
Kagami ran away with Kana, leaving the blue haired boy standing alone in the middle of the hall.
"You ordered an extra ticket for me, Taiga?" Kana asked with a soft smile.
"I-I wanted... I wanted you to meet my old coach from America and my brother Tatsuya..." Kagami trailed off.
Kana giggled, already knowing it was an excuse, but she accepted it anyways. "You have a brother? Is he younger or older?"
"Well... We knew each other from America. He's a year older than us. He really wants to meet you." Kagami told her and the light brown haired girl nodded. "Actually, I have the tickets..."
Kagami dug through his school bag and in his hand was two white tickets with the title 'Winter Cup Finals: Seirin High vs Rakuzan High'.
"I'll make sure that I'll be there." Kana smiled, holding the tickets close to her heart. "I'll be cheering you on Taiga."
"You better." He began to walk, "I'll be keeping my ears empty for your shouts."
Kana caught up to him with a laugh, "I understand. Don't expect too much though."
The two both looked at each other while laughing softly. The only thing that ran through Kagami's mind was how pretty Kana looked when she laughed.
Poor Kuroko, being forgotten as a third wheel too.
