It was only 6:08. I had awhile before the dinner with Chris and his 'family'. I wasn't nervous I was just worried. Worried that I'm playing myself.

I rubbed my belly. I was now a good 7 months. Kelly noticed and she just comforted me. I bet she wouldn't be so nice if she knew it was my dad's baby. As far as she knows, the baby father attends my school. People at school also started to notice but since I was cool with the popular crowd most people knew to keep their comments to themselves.

I dressed in a black loose sun dress with gold sandals that looked great on me. It was now time. I'm scared out my mind. I hope this goes well.

There was a knock at the door and I just knew it was Chris. I opened the door and smiled. Chris looked so good in his tux. "You ready?" All I could do was nodded. I locked the door behind me and went to the car. The ride to his house was silent. Not even the radio was playing. When we pulled up to his house, he quickly got out to open the door for me. He was such a gentlemen. He held his hand out for me which I gladly took. We walked to his door. Well here goes nothing.

The first person to greet me at the door was Chris' mother, Ms Rains. She gave me a bear hug and kissed my cheek. "How have you been darling?" She asked pulling me to the living room where I saw people I didn't recognize, I'm guessing her family. I even saw the girl Chris was with early.

"I'm doing just fine. Been kind of tired but overall ok." She nodded her head. "That's good." She started introducing me to people around the room. Then two little girl came running from the back to Chris. He picked both of them up laughing. "How are my little girls?" He asked. They both giggled and said "good" in union. They were just so adorable. Chris came over to me with the two girls. "Aria these are my little sisters. Brittany and Mell meet Aria, my girlfriend." They both waved at me and I gladly waved back with a smile. I know my face was red. He let them go and they started runing. "No running in the house girls." Ms. Rain called after them.

The house smelled so good. I could feel my baby kicking in my stomach. I groaned and Chris and his family looked at me. "Are you ok?" One of the ladies Ms. Rain introduced me to ask. "Yes I'm fine. Just need some water." Chris quickly left my side to fix me some water as the girl Chris was with earlier helped me to the couch. I wasn't exactly comfortable with her touching me but it is what it is.

After I drunk my water Chris gave to me, an older woman who looked about 40 years old came from the kitchen saying that dinner was done. Everyone made thier way to the dining room. Chris sat by me and the girl he was with sat on the other side of him. At the dinner table I mean mugged him. "What?" He asked suprised. I nodded towards his "cousin". "Oh yea Aria this is my cousin Lilly and Lilly this is my girlfriend Aria." She put her hand out. I hestatied before shaking it. "Nice to meet you." She said with a smile. "You too." I looked away embarrased when she kept staring at my stomach. She whispered something in Chris' ear and I suddenly felt uneasy. What was she saying to him?

I saw Chris nod his head and she gave him a frown before raising her eyebrows at me. I stared back. She looked away soon after that until she then excused herself. I tapped Chris on the arm. "What was that about?" I asked. He shook his head. "Nothing." I opened my mouth. I couldn't believe he was lying to me. "Really Chris? You just going to sit in my face and lie like that?" He looked at me for a long minute before he spoke in a voice loud enough for me to hear but low for the rest of the family. "She asked me was I the one that knocked you up and I said yea. No big deal." He shrugged his shoulder. "No big deal!" I shrieked. "How is it not a big deal? She looking at me like I'm just a hoe or something." He shook his head. "Her look was not even intended like that so chill." I crossed my arms. "I can't believe you." He sighed. "Well what you wanted me to say? Oh yea my girlfriend is pregnant but it's not my baby, it's her father. She would gave you some kind of disgusted look and you would have felt some type of way regardless." I listened to everything he was saying. I understood what he was saying but yet I was still mad.

I rose out my seat. "Ms. Rain this has been a lovely dinner. Thank you for having me but I must go." His mother came to me. "So soon darling? We didn't even have dessert." I nodded. "Yes ma'am but I'll be sure to visit you soon." I hugged her and walked out the door. Chris came running behind me. "You came with me Aria. How will you get home if you leave now." I laughed. "Easy bus or taxi." He sighed. "Don't be so stubborn. Get back in the house." I shook my head. "No I'll be on my way Chris. Goodbye." I kept walking as I heard Chris yelling after me. I walked to the nearest bus stop and sat on the bench. Will my life get any better?
