Roc POV~
Another day has gone by. Two days to be exact of me sitting here in my office doing nothing. I've been ignoring everyone, not eating, & barely being able to sleep. I mean honestly I don't know how she ended up pregnant because I certainly didn't do anything. At first I thought it was a joke but she was completely serious. As soon as those words came out her mouth, it seemed like everything had froze.
*Flashback*
"I'm pregnant." Amber said.
And suddenly all eyes were on me, but I'm sure the look on my face said it all. It was completely quiet you could here a pin drop. I had so many questions but as soon as I opened my mouth, nothing came out.
"When did you find that out?" Kiara asked breaking the silence.
All eyes were off me and now focused on Amber as we waited for an answer. It seemed as if she had to think about it, almost like making up something very quickly.
she finally spoke. "I found out just two days ago and was quite surprised myself."
Instantly I thought about the last time we had sex, surely I had used protection. There's no way she could possibly be pregnant, well not unless she cheated on me. At that thought I looked at Vanessa hoping she would be ok. But sadly the smile on her faced had completely dropped from this news.
Her usually light brown eyes now shined with hurt and disappointment. As much as I wanted to go over and comfort her, I just couldn't. Soon my mouth finally opened to speak but the sound of her light voice beat me to it.
"Well I shall be the first to say congratulations Amber. No, actually congratulations to the both of you." Vanessa said.
"Thanks now little Rhian here will have a sibling to play with." Amber spoke happily.
At those finally words everyone was more than glad to leave. While Amber decided to clean up, I chose to walk everyone to the door. As each of them passed there were mumbles of "Congratulations" and "Good night". Well it was that way until Jaden stopped right in front of the door, laughing.
"What's so funny huh?" I asked slightly annoyed.
"You continue to amaze me, you know that?"
"What the hell are you talking about Jaden?"
"No matter what you do, it always brings Vanessa closer to me. So I thank you for that." he said starting to leave
I roughly grabbed his shoulder pulling him back, "It doesn't matter what happens, Vanessa will always have feelings towards me."
"Let's see. You're married to another woman and having a kid by her. I'm pretty sure you saw the look on her face too. Looks like those feelings are leaving now." he pushed my hand away and left.
Hate to say it but he's right. Simply knowing that Vanessa and I agreed to remain friends, I knew this still affected her. Anyways, that night we laid in bed making small talk. As much as I wanted to bring up her being pregnant, I just couldn't find the right words.
turning to lay on my chest she spoke, "Aren't you happy babe? We're finally going to have a family now."
I could've sworn she mumbled something but I let it go. So I simply nodded then kissed her forehead and just like that she was sound asleep. Trust and believe I will get to the bottom of this.
*Flashback over*
So here I am now, still have no idea how any of this happened. Amber has tried many times to get me out of this office but it was no use. I mean if anything I would think she may have cheated on me or is just plain lying. But my thoughts were soon interrupted by the phone ringing. After listening to it ring a good two times, I finally decided to answer.
