Chapter 1 : Kion's new life

"Daddy ! Daddy ! What are you doing ?"

Kion stopped looking at his book and turned his eyes to his children. Tuna and Apcha were in front of him, looking at him with great interest. They were twins, son and daughter of Kion and Fuli. The son, Tuna, was just like her mother, but have the hair of his father. The girl, Apcha, look more like Kion, but her fur was darker than him. They were all Kion's pride, and he was very happy everytime he was with them. So he put the book on the table and talk to his five-years-old children: 

"I was reading an old book from Rafiki.

_The monkey wizard ?

_Himself.

_Tell us his story again, please !asked Apcha

_I don't have time for this, you know.

_Oh please, please, please please, please, please, please...

_Alright, kids ! Leave your father alone."

Fuli came into the piece with a great smile. Every time Kion saw her, he find her more beautiful, if it was ever possible. He kissed her on the lips, and Tuna made a sound of disgust. Fuli laughed and look at her boy :

"Tuna, Apcha, your father have to go to see the king today, so let him prepare. 

_But, mommy... cmplained Tuna

_And you can come with me at the morning patrol today.

_YES ! exclaimed both the children, leaving their parents

_Thank you Fuli, wispered Kion, I don't know how I could leave without you.

_That why you marry me, right ?

_One of the reasons, at least, replied Kion with a seductive look

_Oh yeah ? and what are the others reasons ?

_Well, you're beautiful, smart, fast, brave, ...."

Fuli kissed him deeply. 

"Come on, you're going to be late.

_It doesn't bothering you to take the children ?

_They love the Lion Guard. And plus, where else could I take them ?

_At Vitani's house.

_I don't know if the queen of the pridelands will keep my children, said Fuli, playfulli

_You know she's not like this.

_Do I ? I'm not even royal.

_But you're more than that .

_Oh ?

_You're a goddess."

They kissed again, and Kion left his house to go to the royal palace. The palace didn't change in five years, even if Kopa tried to remove two or three things. Kion went directly to the throne's room, where his big brother was waiting for him :

"So, Kion, what do we have this month ?

_The pridelands are okay, your highness, and...

_Please, just call me Kopa. You're my brother, after all.

_As your wish, your majesty Kopa.

_Oh, never mind, continue !

_The relationships with Chui are improving. The leopards don't want another war, and they are ready to do anything. 

_I suppose you don't have anything with the outlands. Or the forbidden lands.

_No, they don't want to talk to use. But they don't attack us nether.

_Well, after years of wars, that not surprising. How are you child ?

_Very good, in fact. They started to use the cheetah speed, but, because of the Lion lood, they won't be as fast as their mother. But they will be more enduring. Tuna alreday want to join the Lion guard.

_And did their powers reaveled.

_Yes. Apcha can use the light, and Tuna the shadow. I guess it's because they're twins.

_Okay. You can leave of you want. If I keep you longer than necessary, Fuli will kill me.

_So, I leave you here, your majestie...

_And don't call me like that !!!"

Kion left the palace, still laughing.
