"Goodbye!" Elise called, tears in her eyes.
I waved at her and bit my lip, wiping the tears slipping down my cheeks.
Don't You Worry Child by Swedish House Mafia was playing in my head. I wasn't ready to leave. This had been my home for 8 years.
I gulped and turned my back to Elise. I couldn't let the boys see my tears. That wouldn't be fair to them. I had to be strong-- For them.
I took ten deep breaths and then climbed into the limo. These guys must've been really rich or something, because they brought a limo to come and adopt a kid. I had no idea who they were, but I had a feeling they would be great parents.
I climbed into the limo, avoiding Elise's eyes.
"So, we're going to our house now," Harry told me.
I nodded. Then I turned my head out the window.
Freeways and parks zipped past the car out the window.
"Wait!" I suddenly screamed. "I can't leave! Take me back! No!"
My breathing became heavy. Tears slipped down my cheeks. I started trying to get out of the car. My seatbelt clicked. I clawed at the door.
"MOD!" Harry screamed, holding me back. "Mod, calm down. Mod. MOD!"
Then I blacked out.
