Kaylub entered Professor Stein's class room to have all eyes on him including the green eyes of his teacher. He kept his cool, uncaring look, but his soul, he knew, was blushing at the attention. "Welcome Kaylub Usinagi to class he will be attending class here for now on." Soon whispers filled the room as he heard rumors about himself. He shrugged and went to his seat by a spikey albino haired male and a slightly symmetrical black haired male with three white stripes on the left side of his head. They both looked at him along with a group of other kids. He rolled his eyes as Stein started his lesson.
As the lesson came to a close, Kaylub felt the eyes return to him. He rolled his eyes, hands in his pockets, and jumped over the first few rows of desks and students landing perfectly on the ground. He heard gasps as he calmly walked out of the class room. He walked over to a mission board and looked over it. He was lost in thought when a hand was placed on his shoulder. He looked up at Stein who just looked at one of the missions. Kaylub followed his gaze and smiled at the mission. He knew he could do it alone, but Lord Death said he needed a partner if he wanted to go on missions. He let the smile fall from his face as his shoulder felt a slight squeeze to it. He looked up and saw the shining of Stein's glasses and his smile. "I was thinking about testing your power to find a suitable miester for you." Kaylub shrugged not wanting to show his excitement for a "real" battle. "Good meet me at my house after you get settled in your homing." He then left. Kaylub smiled and left the building ignoring the shouts coming from one of the pillars of the school.
"Wow, so I'm lost." Kaylub said with a sarcastic smile as he looked around at nothing in particular. He continued to roam around till he finally found the place. He knocked on the door and it was opened by a girl with sandy blond hair into side pigtails, behind her was the spiky albino haired male that sat next to Kaylub. "Hi, I'm suppose to be staying here for a while." He said with a hint of a smile.
"Hi, I'm Maka and this is Soul we got a room ready for you, come in."
"Thanks," he follows her to his room and drops off his stuff, which was just a backpack of clothes and a pair of shoes.
He arrived at professor Stein's house which was white with stitches on it much like the professor himself. He gulped getting an eerie feeling from the place. He knocked on the door and it opened. He walked in and moved out of the way of an oncoming attack. "What the," he saw the professor look at him his glasses glistening blocking his eyes. He was confused as another attack came his way. He dodged that one too. Okay if this is how were going to play it, I might as well defend myself. Kaylub then pulled out a shadow version of his weapon form and twisted it to the blunt side of the blade to ensure the outcome of not killing the professor. He charged in for the next attack and blocked the oncoming attack with skill and precision. The two went back an forth with attacks and blocks as both endured attacks. While the professor only suffered from exhaustion and bruises, Kaylub suffered from blood loss, exhaustion, and bruises. Both were fighting with all their might. I didn't expect him to make me fight this hard, but I have to admit he's holding up well with that small soul of his. With the next blow right to Kaylub's left arm, the one with the weapon, and an ear splitting scream, Kaylub curled into a ball, shadow blade vanished, nursing his injured arm with tears brimming his eyes. His breath was ragged and pained. Stein got closer and Kaylub looked up with a fierce glare daring him to get closer. Stein stopped and sighed watching as Kaylub's breathing returned to normal. He slowly stood up and manifested another shadow blade in his right hand.
"Okay we're done here you need medical care, I was just testing your power, and I must say, you are an interesting weapon." Stein said as Kaylub kept glaring, but he then passed out to be caught by Stein. He was carried to the school nurse and rested for a while.
"He's incredible strong, but I don't think anyone is compatible with his soul wavelength except for you, your son, and myself." Stein said to Lord Death. They sat in silence for a while till Kid's voice was heard.
"Then I'll be his partner, I saw his fight with you professor, and I am willing to be his partner."
"What about Liz and Patty?" His father asked in his gleeful voice.
"They can be together much like how Kaylub with his shadow blade." He said in a matter of fact manner. The two adults looked at each other then looked at Kid and nodded.
"Only if you two can work together if not, then I don't want you to work with him." Kid nodded at his fathers words and left heading to the nurses room. He looked at Kaylub, who was calmly sleeping. He smiled a bit.
