With every character, there comes an archetype, and with that archetype the character can be viewed as stereotypical, and cliché.
With every popular blonde girl in school you expect them to be the meanest and most annoying character in the story that tries to tear the two main characters apart, and who's always mean to the nerd or outcast. But that may not always be the case.
No one ever portrays a stereotypical character, or cliché character with insight and understanding, or better yet, realistically.
Will you write about the blonde cheerleader with a heart of gold?
Will you write about the bad boy with a heart of gold?
Will you write about the jock with a heart of gold?
