"My heroines, more often than not, are the ones who are troubled and resistant." - Sylvia Day
The world of literature had always held the firm belief that men could be the only ones to possess super powers, and that they were the only ones who should be able to save the day - yet here we are today, all of us writers, readers, and lovers of stories that had each developed thousands of ways in which heroines influence young girls in society. Superman became Supergirl. Robin Hood became Katniss Everdeen; and, as we continue to grow into this community that supports feminism and the absolute beauty that female characters create, we hope that you join us on this journey.
On ProtectFemCharacters, we will be focusing on a variety of female characters in fanfiction, fiction, non-fiction, and as many genres as Wattpad allows us to put in our reading lists. No matter what you write and no matter what you have to say, your character matters. Every word that they utter from their lips has the ability to create a movement for people that need inspiration. Every action that they display through their body has the ability to set a spark for people that need a little push to step out of their shell. All we want to do is give you that little push and hope that you carry the words the rest of the way.
