My life has never been normal. My real parents abandoned me when I was a baby. But two years after, I was adopted. They never loved me. Pain was all I was given by them, no love or attention. They already had a child. She's two years older than me. Her name is Elizabeth, she's now sixteen and had long blonde hair and blue eyes. You'd think 'Angel' right? Wrong. Far from it.
Three years ago:
"Raya! Get here now!!" Shouted my mother from downstairs, I was going to be yelled at for something I had no idea of.
"Y-yes...M-mama?"
"You didn't do the dishes!"
"Y-you never told me t-to mama" at this point I was crying with fear. I knew what was coming next. She raises an eyebrow at me and harshly grabs me by my hair. She drags me to the kitchen, still holding onto my hair, she then slaps me around the face,
"M-mama... I-I'm sorry!" I say pleadingly, crying also. In the corner of my eye I see Elizabeth, she's staring at mum angrily.
"Raya! Shut up!" Mum shouts as she slaps me again.
"Mum! Stop hurting Raya!" Elizabeth yelled, she was holding something...scissors!
"Elizabeth, don't get involved!" Mum had her back to Elizabeth and continued to hit me. The hitting got harder, more and more tears came from my eyes, making everything a blur.
The hitting suddenly stopped and a gasp came from mum.
"Elizabeth...R-Raya...why?"
"Mama?" I called out. My vision still blurred from crying.
"Raya!" Elizabeth ran over to me and hugged me tight. "She won't hurt you anymore, I promise!!"At that moment my vision returned and I saw mum on the ground, blood soaking into her clothes and a pair scissors poked out of her back.
"W-what did you do?!" I say staring wide eyed at mums corpse.
Present time:
Ever since that day, Elizabeth has become obsessed with murdering people who try to hurt me. The worst part is that she makes me do it too.I don't have any friends because I'm too scared of what Elizabeth might do to them. So at lunch time I go to the roof of the school and eat alone.
"What are you doing up here by yourself?" An unfamiliar voice said from behind me. This made me jump and drop my food on the floor. I turn around to see a tall, dark brown haired boy. His eyes seemed cheery and bright.
"S-sorry...I should go" I say quietly.
"But why? At least tell me your name"I look at him and blink. 'Why does he want to know my name?' I ask myself before replying.
"Raya, why do you want to know?"
"That's a nice name and I want to know your name because you shouldn't be on your own and I'd like to keep you company."
"I'm okay on my own..."
"No you're not." He said leaning against the railing.
"What do you mean?! You know nothing about me!" I reply a bit too harshly.
"I can see it in your eyes... You want friends but there's something holding you back."The thing is, he wasn't wrong. I have longed for a friend since the event with my adoptive mum.
I tuck a piece of my long black hair behind my ear and my dark grey eyes meet his green ones.
"As much as I'd like like to be your friend, it's just not possible...you don't know what you'd get yourself into." I say.
"I'm not taking no for an answer Raya. Also my names Ade." And with that he turned around and walked away, back into the building, probably going back to his classroom.
