LOGAN POV

"Are you sure it was her?" Mason asked for the tenth time. Dad, Cole and i gave him a flat look. "It just seems weird! What mate goes and kills their other half?" He defended, putting his hands up.

"Someone who cares about their family more than someone they've known for a day." Dad replied, sighing at the end. "What are you planning to do with her?"

"I don't know. I don't even know if killing a prisoner is a crime in our pack." Mason said. "It should be but Grant was on his way to the chair anyways." He moved to sit back in his leather chair that was behind his study table.

"Well it happened on your territory so it's your decision." I chipped in.

"Logan is right. Although she is my daughter, i'm leaving her punishment to you because you own this land and Grant was your prisoner." Dad added.

"Actually, you know what? I'm going to give you that responsibility." Mason said, standing up slowly.

"But it should be yours?" Dad wondered outloud.

"That's true but lets just say this is a way to show my apologies for the past."

Dad growled lowly. "You're still not forgiven."

"I know! And i understand that i never will be but this is just a way for me to apologize." Mason said, giving us a sad smile. I looked away, not wanting to make this situation any more awkward.

"Ok. I'll think about it over the night." Dad concluded, turning around. I nodded at Mason before following dad out the door. Cole was close behind me and ended up closing the door behind us.

We followed dad through the house and back to his room. The journey there was queit as we all thought of what we would decide for Hazels punishment.

Stripping her of her patrolling duties and leaving her as an omega for a week seemed like a reasonable punishment for someone with Alpha blood. It wasn't too harsh nor too little.

We all slipped into the room before Colton closed the door. Dad started cussing violently when the door was closed. He tugged his hair while he paced around the rooom frantically. His muscles were tense and everything about his posture screamed frustration.

"So what are you thinking?" I asked, breaking the awkward silence in the room.

"I don't know!" He growled, stopping to stare at Cole and myself. "I was hoping i wouldn't have to make this decision but now he's put it onto me. Geez, cut me some slack."

"But now you can choose something lighter to what Alpha Mason was going to do." Cole stated.

"Yeah but now it's a fight between family loyalty and justice." I reminded him, frowning. "Why don't you just give her something inbetween. I was thinking Omega duties for a week."

Dad sighed and turned around. "I don't know. I'll talk about it with your mother. But right now," He turned back around to face us, "i need you and Ty to go back to our territory and see how things are there. Stay there for a few days and i'll call you guys back when you need to come."

"But Uncle Gabe and John are there! Everything should be fine!" I complained, remembering that Grace and my first date was tomorrow night.

"Yeah but the people there need reasurance from their Alpha. I'll stay back and sort this out. I'll need Colton as my Beta."

"But you're their Alpha." I argued.

"Not for long. Now that you've found Grace, you're technically the Alpha of the Blood Hound Pack." Dad stated, a twinkle of proudness in his eye.
