LOGAN POV
As soon as i saw the pack house come into view, i incresed the cars speed and roughly parked infront of it. I paid no attention to all the prying eyes and instead focused on grabbing my bag and running up the pourch steps. I even ignored the fact that i tripped on the stairs because i can't freaking miss one! The door opened as soon as i stepped onto the last step, revealing Mason who looked stressed out to the max.
"Logan," He breathed, giving me a very weak smile. As though smiling were very hard for him to do right now. He reached out a hand and i shook it immediatly. By now, my cousins and sister had joined me and were standing behind me. "Zac, good to see you again." Mason nodded at Zac who smiled back.
"Ok, lets get back to business."
GRACE POV
After that last statement he had made, i felt no reason to speak or ask questions. There was no tension in the air but i felt highly annoyed at his little rant. So for the next few minutes, i sat there, watching him as he typed on his laptop. He occasionally glanced up to see what i was doing, only to get a glare from me. He would sigh and then look back to his laptop before typing up again.
The thing i would focus in is his scar, how it over lapped his eyes and i wondered if maybe he were blind in that one eye. I also wondered how he got it! He seemed like a person who would send others out to do their dirty work. I so badly wanted to ask him but thought maybe it were a bad memory and he didn't want to talk about it. However, my curiosity got the best of me.
"What happened to your eye?" I asked, breaking the silence and making him look up at me. Suprisingly, he didn't look mad or even annoyed! In fact, he smiled and turned his body to face me.
"Do you really want to know?" He asked, eyebrow raised. I nodded eagerly making him chuckle. "Well, when i first shifted i decided to go for a run. Ran into some rouges and bam, got the scar."
I scrunched my eyebrows together when he mentioned the other rouges. I thought he was a rouge himself? But he did have his own land and his own pack house with cells. So maybe he's in a pack?
I thought i'd ignore it for now, "So can you see with that eye?"
He chuckled, "Yes, of course." He gave me a warm smile but i just gave him a blank stare.
It made me think again though. I don't get what he wants with me. His parents killed my grandparents and the Cresent Moon warriors killed his parents. Isn't this one of those what goes around comes back around situations? I'm pretty sure it is! Karma bit*h.
"Boss, breakfast is ready." I turned my head to see Seth at the door, a thumb pointed over his shoulder. His eyes made contact with mine and i saw his posture relaxed a little.
"Alright, we're coming." Boss replied, getting up. I turned my head in time to see Seth nod and close the door.
I stood up and let out a light gasp when i saw Boss right in front of me. He had a smirk on his lips and he was just staring at me. I didn't like how close we were so i growled, warning him to back off. I would have moved back but the chair was behind me.
Without losing eye contact, he reached down and grabbed my hands. He leaned in forward and whispered in my ear, "Try anything and you're dead." I felt my hands get lighter and when he moved away from me, i inspected my free wrists. The hand cuffs had done nothing to them besides from trapping them. "Now shall we?" He came back and held his hand out, palm up.
I stared at it. I bet he wants me to hold his hand. He's acting like we're mates! I thought he would torture me and try to hurt me. But this dude is treating me like his mate! Besides from the yelling that is.
