She plummeted down...down....down........
Darkness... only darkness surrounded her now.
Had it happened? she didn't feel anything, at least it was a sudden death, right?
And then...a bright light...
Suddenly she was surrounded by fuzzy memories, so distorted that their faces could barely be made out, and a cacophony of jarbled up shouts.
She was still falling. Her skin burned from underneath, it felt like her veins themselves were on fire. The agony was so much, she tried to scream but every little sound in her body was so loud she couldn't hear her own voice.
How long would she fall for?
It hurt..What is happening? she thought.
She recognized this feeling, like it had happened before...
She had been pushed into a portal, she could see it, and the figure standing at the edge blurring away as the portal swirled.
CRASH. She landed on the ground. She took a look at her surroundings, realizing that she was now in her mansion, but she was a ghost. She saw a vision of herself writing the letters. The invitations... when she had first gotten word about the portal key, she immediately got to work finding the addresses of all the people who might be in possession of it, crafting her "master plan", and sent them all yhe "invitations." Her judgment was clouded with the possibility of finally going home, blinded by the idea of being so close to getting revenge she could taste it. She couldn't just ASK for the key, no no, you can't trust people like that, they'd cheat her, or give her a fake one, or doom her to another world altogether, no she planned to kill them all one by one until she figured out who had it, and either they would give in and give it up, or they would die, and she would get it from their inventory. At the time she thought it was a good plan, but it failed so spectacularly. What should she have done differently? She watched herself finish all the invitations. Her past self grabbed a potion of invisibility and a potion of speed, and she disappeared. Suddenly it time skipped. That damn enby Jesse, and their three "friends", (ywhom she never really got their names, not that she cared, mind you,) busted through her kitchen window just as Sparkles, and Torquedawg walked in. She watched her past self stand at the ready, preparing to start the trap. No.. . She thought. Don't do it... her past self smiled and flipped the switch, causing the arrows with poison all hit Torquedawg, poisoning him and killing him. She cringed when they hit him. And she watched him die, and fade off. Her past self swapped his portrait with a version that had a giant red X on it. She sighed from disappointment, and maybe regret. It then time skipped to Sparkle's death. Dan accidently pressed the button. She knew he was going to press it, to see what it would do. That was her way of framing him. Captain Sparkles was thrown back and suffocated. Another time skip. Lizzie. Lizzie was about to reveal who the murder was. Lizzie knew too much which meant she certainly had to die. Her past self took her ax and stabbed Lizzie in the back, killing her. Everything faded to black again, and once more she was falling, though the fear of it had worn off since the first time.
Crashed again, outside this time, it seemed like she was in a garden.
She saw the shadows of other people, she wasn't alone. She looked up, bracing herself for attack, but her eyes only widened in shock.
Standing around her, were the ghosts of of Lizzie, Sparkles and Torquedawg.
"You could of just asked."No, I couldn't, I can't trust you people.
"Stampy is a nice person and he would've given it to you if he knew why you needed it."
How could I know I could trust him with that information!?
"Damn it Cassie, you wouldn't of had to kill us if you just stopped to think for a moment!" Shouted Lizzie. "Try being in my position!" Cassie cried, "After everything, how could anyone think clearly!"
"Do you even have an ounce of guilt for what you did? Are you even sorry?" Lizzie looked about ready to burst into tears.
"I only regret my plan not working, and your deaths being in vain. You were all collateral damage for a failed plan."
"Collateral damage?! You MURDERED us!" Torquedawg spat.
"What difference does it make."
"You're sick." CaptainSparklez growled. She stepped back a bit. "You don't understand! You don't know what I had been through!! I had to do what I did, there was no other way" Cassie shouted in anger and desperation, despite everyone's continued insistence, she still couldn't understand why they thought it it so easy to just ask. It's not as simple as they think!! It.. it isn't, right?
The ghosts seem to chant "murderer" over and over again, crying in agony, their deaths replaying over and over all around her. "W-What the hell?" It was loud, so loud, "stop.." it was so cold, it was so loud, what the hell!? "STOP"
Vines raised from the ground beneath her feet, wrapping around her. "No, NO, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?"Lizzie came closer to her, out of the chaos. "Do you feel that? That's what our deaths felt like." Cassie looked up in horror. "This is what you've done to us."
"I..."
Lizzie lifted her hand, stopping Cassie from finishing, "I'm sorry but..." Lizzie took her hand and touched part of the young woman's face, the vines crawled up Cassie's arms and legs like veins, digging deep in her skin, until they made their way to the wound on her eye, digging into it. She screamed in pain. Lizzie, Sparkles, and Torquedawg's faces faded and away, as she fainted. She jerked awake from her dream in a cold sweat. Her face was burning horribly, the feeling of the vines in her dreams still torturing her face. She got up out of bed, and removed the bandages. She gasped in horror. Growing from the wound was three small roses.
