I am so so so sorry for taking such a long break and not following up on my weekly promise, I swear I have literally been brain dead. life is killing me, dudes. but here's another normal teen AU, because even if you can't forgive me, teen Sam is irresistible (to me at least). also, the title has nothing to do with the song. I know we're all thinking it, but I promise, this imagine is purely fluff. enjoy!

"Ahh, (Y/N)!! That's him, oh my gosh, that's Sam! Look! See him over there? He's with that hot older brother!" your best friend squeals, looking excitedly at you over their menu

"Ahh, (Y/N)!! That's him, oh my gosh, that's Sam! Look! See him over there? He's with that hot older brother!" your best friend squeals, looking excitedly at you over their menu. You quickly shush them, ducking a little lower in your seat and mentally screaming at yourself to fight the urge to look behind you to see Sam. Can this boy not even let you come to the diner on a Friday night in peace?

"Aww, (y/n)! Don't hide like that! C'mon, you've been crushing on this guy hardcore since his family moved here at the start of the year. You talk all the time in school, don't you? Besides, if you don't make a move soon, I'll have to set up our double date myself," they say defiantly, glaring at you something fierce.

"Double date?" you ask, raising a brow. They lean back smugly, crossing their arms and sneaking another look towards where you assume the boys are sitting.

"You and Sam plus me and Dean, baby," they say, and you roll your eyes.

"In your dreams."

"You're right, I do dream about him."

"Creep."

"Weirdo."

You laugh, picking up your menu again and shaking your head. If you didn't have them here with you, you just might die out of fear of Sam somewhere behind you. The distraction of their weirdness is a godsend.

"Oh shit," they say, face instantly falling with their eyes glued to whatever is happening behind you. The urge to look is growing and growing and this is not at all helping.

"What? What is it? What's happening?" you question frantically, watching your best friend frown more and more profusely as you feel more and more lost. They finally look back to you, making their saddest face.

"Dean got a phone call and left," they pout, and you breathe out. You're not sure what you expected, but of course it's just about Dean and not Sam. Sam. Wait, Sam's now alone. Alone. Sam. At the diner. You're at the diner. Sam's here. Alone.

"Ohh, I can see those gears turning! You're going to talk to him, aren't you?" You smile widely back at them, feeling a childlike giddiness and freedom.

"Should I?" you ask, already knowing the response you're going to hear anyways.

"Yes!! A thousand times yes! Okay, he's sitting at the bar on a stool, not in a booth, so that's good. Casual approach totally doable. He hasn't ordered a meal yet, but already has a milkshake. Perfect conversation starter. Act like you just got here. Go, go, go!" your best friend gushes, and you laugh uncontrollably, unsure of yourself still.
