I turned the water off and got out of the shower, wrapping a clean towel around my waist. I used another towel to dry my face and my hair, then dried the rest of my body and put on my boxers. I took a deep breath and looked in the slightly fogged mirror. My dark brown hair was a spiked up damp mess. I rubbed my ear, adjusting the earring so it wasn't pinching. I put on my gray basketball shorts and went into my room, tossing the towels into the hamper as I passed it. I put on deodorant and sat down on my bed. I was tired, I'd over worked myself during my workout today because my nerves were on high. Even with how different I looked now, and how I confident I was, I was still nervous about tomorrow. Summer was over and tomorrow was the first day of school, the first day of my senior year. I should be used to this, however I spent last year being homeschooled because I couldn't take the heat of being bullied. I put that time to use tho, working out, adjusting my diet, and changing a few other things like my hair and getting contacts. I felt better about myself and looked better, but I was worried still. I wasn't sure I'd be able to keep my 'I don't care' attitude up.
I sighed and looked at the clock I had sitting on my bed side table, it was 10:30pm. I ran my hand through my hair and got up to turn my light off.
"Aaron, are you going to bed?" My mom asked through the door. I chuckled quietly and turned the light off.
"Yea. My alarm is set and I have clothes out too." I said, my smile could be heard in my voice. I heard her laugh and I walked away from the door. I didn't actually have clothes out, but I knew what I was going to wear. I laid down and starred at the ceiling as I slowly started to drift off into sleep. A long, dreamless sleep.
I jumped up as my alarm clock woke me up and frantically looked for the button to shut it up. I stood up and stretched, then walked over to my dresser and opened the first drawer. I pulled out a short sleeved, navy blue shirt and pulled it on. I smiled looking at the gym logo on the top right side of the shirt. It costed a pretty penny, but it was well worth it, even got a month free the next time I renewed my membership. I got out a pair of dark blue jeans and pulled them on, walking over to my mirror and sighing slightly at how tight they fit around my ass. I grabbed my brush and brushed through my hair, then styled it with my normal hair quiff. I put my contacts in and sat on my bed to put my shoes on. I made sure I grabbed my phone, then my backpack and I went downstairs.
I looked at my car keys and thought for a second, the school wasn't that far, but if something happened having the car would be nice. I rolled my eyes at myself and grabbed them off the counter, then walked out to my car and started it up. I tossed my backpack carelessly onto the passenger seat and started driving, not bother to get buckled, it was a short drive. I pulled into the parking lot and parked in the first spot I saw, then grabbed my bag and got out, making sure I locked the car behind me. I pulled my schedule out of my bag and looked over it while leaning against my car.
"Did they really give me the same locker..?" I muttered annoyed. I shook my head and walked to the doors. I wasn't gonna let something so small get to me. I went to my locker and shoved my binders inside it, only keeping the ones I'd need before lunch. I looked around the hall, a few people had come inside. It was still early, most people weren't even here yet. I went back out side and leaned against the far wall of the building. I wasn't seeing many familiar faces, which was probably a good thing. I saw a group of girls stop walking and turn to watch a car pull in, it was a black mustang. A damn nice car in my opinion. I watched too, especially since whoever was driving it parked next to my car. A tall, dark haired boy got out of the car. He was wearing a leather jacket and black jeans. He took his sunglasses off and hooked them onto his dark gray shirt, running the other hand through his hair. He had thick, shaped eyebrows and a very defined jawline. I could see why the girls were starring.
His eyes seemed to find mine and I froze, I didn't know if I should look away or not. I looked down at my phone, acting like it went off and taking that time to make sure it was on vibrate. I took a deep breath and adjusted my earring, annoyed that it was pinching me again.
"New?" I looked up surprised at the sudden voice next to me. It was the owner of the mustang. I looked at him confused for a moment.
"Your earring. Is it new?" He asked, I nodded.
"Uh, yea. Just got this side pierced this summer." I said turning my head so he could the other ear, which had been pierced for over two years. He nodded with a small smile.
"I remember that, damn things take a while to adjust to. I've had both of mine for about three years now." He said pulling at one of his ears. I noticed that one of his earrings was white while the other was black.
"I'm Ryder. I don't think we've met before." He said holding his hand out, I shook it, trying not to stare at his tattoo that was showing now that his arm was outstretched.
"Aaron." I said avoiding making eye contact. He didn't seem familiar, and the name didn't ring a bell.
"Shy or just tired?" He asked smirking, I chuckled. I wanted to honestly say tired but shy was more truthful.
"A little bit of both I guess. I'm not really known for being good at socializing." I said. He nodded.
"I feel that. People can be assholes." He chuckled and looked down smirking, "Like me, for example. I'm so much of an asshole I got a title. 'Bad Boy' and I've had it for two years. You'd think girls would avoid me." He said shaking his head. I looked at him confused.
"I wish they would. I'm not interested in any of them." He said looking over at a group of girls who were starring. He sighed and shook his head.
"Ready to go in?" He asked looking at me again, I nodded and followed him inside the building, walking next to him as he read his schedule. He rolled his eyes a couple times and shoved the paper back into his pocket.
"At least I know my first class will be enjoyable." He said smiling as we walked into the same room, I smiling back, trying to not seem as confused as I was.
