The rest of the week passed quickly and wasn't very eventful. Me and Ryder didn't skip class again, and I met some of his other friends. Justin, a tall brunette boy, who hung out with us outside on Tuesday morning, and was in our math class. Luke, a tall dirty blond boy, and his blond boyfriend Hunter, both of which were in our english class. I also met his friend Isabelle, but we only saw her at lunch. She had long, straight black hair and always left early. Ryder told me she had a girlfriend, but so far she's been a no show. I brushed and styled my hair like I usually did and went downstairs, glad it was finally Friday. I grabbed my backpack and my keys then went out to my car and drove to school. I parked in my usual spot, smiling as I pulled in next to Ryder's car.

"Someone's in a good mood today." Ryder said as I got out of my car and locked it. I chuckled and smiled at him.

"It's Friday, of course I'm in a good mood." I said. He rolled his eyes smiling. I adjusted my bag and looked around. I saw Luke jogging over grinning and waved at him, he waved back and picked up his pace.

"Hey guys. Oh hey, Ryder can I ride with you tonight?" Luke asked, looking at Ryder. Ryder didn't say anything and glanced at me then at Luke with a slight a head shake. I looked at them confused.

"You are going right? We never miss this party Ryder." Luke said, sounding confused. Ryder sighed and rubbed the back of his head.

"I know we never miss it Luke. Where is it this time?" He asked. He sounded slightly annoyed, and I was still confused. Luke smiled, clearly oblivious to Ryder's annoyance.

"The fire pit in the back woods, same as last year. They're running out of ideas" Luke said laughing, Ryder chuckled and nodded.

"Yea, I guess I can give you a ride." he said. Luke smiled and pumped his fist. Then he looked at me.

"You're coming too right?" he asked, I looked at him and the Ryder confused.

"Um, coming where?" I asked. Luke raised an eyebrow, then spun around to face Ryder again.

"You didn't tell him about the party?" He asked, Ryder shrugged and adjusted his bag, turning to walk toward the building.

"I forgot. He'll ride with us." He said still walking. Luke shook his head for a moment then walked away. I jogged to catch up with Ryder and walked inside with him. The word party seemed to be the word of the day, as we walked through the halls and I caught bits and pieces of conversations, they all were about a party. I looked at Ryder and opened my mouth, then shut it again, noticing his worried expression. He looked like he was deep in thought, I didn't want to bother him. I looked straight ahead as we walked and saw Evan and two other boys standing in front of our classroom talking. One of them was his height and looked fairly muscular, most likely stronger than me, who was blonde and didn't have a backpack on. The other one was slightly shorter, but still muscular and had black hair. None of them were in our class, so I was confused about why they were standing there, I went to nudge Ryder's arm with my elbow but found he wasn't there. My arm got grabbed and pulled roughly, making me stumble into an empty classroom. I heard the door shut and spun around.

"What the he-"

"Shut up." Ryder said holding up a hand, he had his back to me, looking out the small thin window on the door. He pulled the blanket that was rolled up over it down so it would cover the opening then locked the door and turned to face me.

"Um... Why are we in here?" I asked glancing at the now locked door handle. He sighed leaning against the door and tossed hi backpack onto the floor.

"Because I don't feel like dealing with those idiots." He said shrugging. I nodded, knowing exactly who he was talking about. I put my backpack down on one of the desks and sighed, running a hand through my hair.

"Who were the other two?" I asked pulling out my notebook and a pencil. Ryder walked over to the teachers desk and leaned on the front of it.

"Josh and Jake. Even's main two henchmen." He said bitterly. I sat in the desk and flipped to a clean page.

"So assholes?" I asked chuckling, pressing my pencil to the paper. He chuckled,

"Yea, you could definitely say that." I smiled and glanced at my watch, we were ten minutes late to class now.

"We're gonna be in here for a while huh?" I asked. My mind was starting to wonder again. About the mysterious party that I was now going to with Ryder, and Luke. About these two new assholes that I had to avoid along with Evan. About how warm Ryder's hand had felt on my arm when he pulled me into this room, and how nervous I got when the door shut. About how crazy my heart went when he locked the door.

"What?" I muttered confused at myself. I wasn't sure how to feel about what I had just thought about, or how to interpret it.

"Aaron?" I jumped and looked at Ryder, he was looking at me with his eyebrow raised.

"Were you listening to me or in lala land?" He asked with a slight chuckle. I shook my head and blinked a couple times, I didn't know he was talking.

"I, sorry. I wasn't listening I guess." I said putting my pencil down, looking back up at him. He looked concerned and cleared his throat.

"I was asking you if you had to go straight home after school today, or if you could just come right to the party with me and Luke." He said slowly. I nodded and shrugged.

"Um, I guess I can just go with you guys right after. I'm still confused about what party tho." I said looking at my notebook. Ryder starting talking again and I slammed my notebook shut and frantically put it back in my bag. He looked at me confused.

"What? Nothing. No yea, I'll just go with you guys. My mom won't care as long as give her a call at some point." I said quickly. Ryder looked at my bag and back at me.

"You okay dude?" He asked. I nodded and chuckled.

"Yea, I'm fine." I said finally sounding like my normal self again. He nodded and walked over to the door, looking at the small window again.
