I guess my first love for an actual "alternative" singer/band was Melanie Martinez. I actually discovered her around the time I just got into 6th grade but I never actually knew any other song by her other than dollhouse.
That's when i started hanging out with Zane and Cayston. They were pretty cool dudes. But they were the "emos". One night I was laying in my bed watching Netflix or YouTube. I can't remember. Then Zane send me the link for the Black Veil Brides song "In The End". I instantly fell in love.
I can memorize songs within 2 times of me listening to them. I learned this song in less than 30 minutes. That's when I decided to kinda explore this "punk rock" world. Then after that I learned "Knives and Pens", "Morticians Daughter", "I Am Bulletproof", and many others.
I tried out for my school's volleyball team and made it. I have such a sting passion for volleyball. But this is also when I met Kendra.
Within the next few weeks I discovered Panic! At the Disco. I lovvvvve them. I also found Pierce the Veil.
Gosh, music is my escape from all the Bullshit in life. It silences the world and my worries. Music is my pain killer. Music is my escape from all reality.
