Recap:
"Now, why don't we have a little bit of fun?" One of the men grabbed Nathan, pulling him forward, then holding him with his back turned against the man's body. The other two men came towards Nathan's shaking frame and all he could think was
'Why did this have to happen to me?'

POV: Scarlett
'Damn it's cold out here' I thought as I pulled my jacket tighter against my body.
'Just a few more blocks until you get home. You can do this'
I proceeded to walk down the empty street. The only light I had was the flickering lampposts that lined the roads. I dropped my head and began to count the cracks on the sidewalk as I passed them.
'13, 14, 15, 16-'
The sound of rustling turned my focus from the ground to the alley directly across from me. From where I stood, I could tell there were 3 men and what appeared to be.....a kid? They were on the ground, so it was a bit hard to tell. I shook my head.
'Just keep walking. Don't stop. Don't stop. Do not stop. Fuck it!'
I turned and began to walk towards the alley's entrance. I slowed my pace as I got closer to them, so I could properly examine the situation. I cleared my throat rather loudly, gaining the attention of all three males.
"What do you think your doing?" I asked rudely.
"Hey now princess, we were just having some fun with the kid! No need to get worked up" the largest guy said.
'He did not not just call me princess.'
"What's wrong princess? Cat got our tongue? Here, let me help you with that" the man said with a smirk and a wink.
'He just called me princess'
Rage filled my body as the man walked over towards me.
Nobody calls me princess.
I waited until he was about a foot away, before I drew my fist back and landed it right in his jaw. A sickening crack filled the air and the man fell to the ground.
"Hey! Who the hell do you think you are?!?" The other men exclaimed while walking over to me.
"I'm Scarlett fucking Clark. Aka, the girl who's about to kick your asses"
With that I lifted my leg and landed a strong kick into the guys side. The man stumbled, but he quickly regained his balance and lunged forward at me. I sidestepped, avoiding the man's attack. This caused the guy to tumble and I was able to send an elbow to the back of his head. He landed on top of the other man. When I went for the third, he was already gone.
'That was no fun' I sighed heavily.
Looking down, I stepped over the bodies to get to the kid. I grabbed his shoulder to turn him over, only to find that he was out like a light, blood still dripping from his mouth and nose.
My heart clenched as I stared down at him. Memories from the past flooded my mind, but I couldn't focus on that right now. This kid needs help.
With that, I pick him up bridal style and continue down the block, only at a slightly faster pace.
'Oh Mason is not going to like this'
