Recap:
"Who the hell has been in my room?!"
All Nathan could think was 'What have I gotten myself into?'

POV: 3rd person
The man's footsteps boomed as he walked down the stairs. He stopped when he reached the doorway.
"There's something I've been meaning to tell you...." Scarlett said, avoiding eye contact with the man.
"Well?" He said, growing impatient.
"You see, IfoundthisguyinanalleyandhewasbeingattackedsoIsavedhimandnowhe'slivingwithusandstayinginyourroomatleastuntilhecantakecareofhimself." She rushed out.
The man sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance.
"Please, say it slower"
Scarlett took in a large breath, "I found this guy in an alley and he was being attacked so I saved him and now he's living with us and staying in your room at least until he can take care of himself", she said in a slightly slower than normal speed.
"You did what? Where is he?" The man asked, his eyes slightly widening.
It was at that moment that Josh released Nathan, allowing him to sit up. Nathan stood and adjusted his clothes. He then turned to look at the man, instantly regretting it. The tall man had silently snuck up on him and was now glaring down at his small figure. Nathan took a step back, trying to gain space between the angry man and himself.
"Um.....hi", Nathan gulped out, dropping his gaze to the suddenly interesting floor. The man grabbed Nathan's arm and began to drag him up the stairs.
"Mason wait! It wasn't his fault!" Riley shouted after him, but it was all white noise.

Mason threw Nathan into an office like room. Nathan tumbled slightly at the force, but quickly regained his balance. A strong hand forced him into a seat. He stayed silent as Mason walked behind the large desk and sat down directly across from him.
Mason then sighed and laid his head on the desk. Nathan opened and closed his mouth multiple times, before Mason lifted his head and ran his hand through his dark hair.
"Why would she do this to me? Do you have any idea how much stress I'm under? Why? Why me?" He asked in an exasperated tone.
Nathan stifled a laugh at the destress of the man.
"Alright, Scarlett seems pretty set on having you stay here and I am not about to argue with that woman. Just.....don't make a mess and you're going to need to answer some questions, okay?" He said before adjusting himself in his seat.
Nathan nodded his head. He folded his hands in his lap and cleared his throat.
"What's your full name?"
"Nathan Reese Blue"
"How old are you, Nathan?"
"I'm 19"
"Do you have an education?"
"Not college, but I finished high school"
"Why were you in an alley?"
Nathan stiffened, but he pushed his past aside. He knew he wouldn't receive the same mercy from this man that he did with Scarlett.
"I'm homeless. That alley is where I kept all of my possessions and slept at night."
Mason knew better than to ask why he was homeless. At least, not until he was more comfortable him.
"How long have you been homeless?"
"2 years"
"What were your possessions and how did you get them?"
"I had an old blanket that I got from behind an apartment complex. I had a small bottle that I kept water in, but I don't remember where it came from. Finally, I had a small amount of money."
"Where'd you get the money from?"
Nathan stayed silent and dropped his head.
"Did you steal it?"
Nathan slowly nodded yes
"How much was it?"
"About $50, but there's only $1.13 left...." He whispered, finding himself unable to meet Mason's gaze.
Mason sighed and stood up, he walked around the desk until he was in front of Nathan. He placed a hand on Nathan's shoulder. At this, Nathan's head snapped up and he stared into Mason's dark brown eyes.
"It's late, we can finish this tomorrow. You should go talk to the others. I know Riley's probably having a fit by now."
Nathan turned to look at the clock hanging from the wall. It was only 7:15. When Nathan turned his head back around, Mason was already moving towards the door. He unlocked the door and motioned for Nathan to leave. Nathan stood, and nodded his head to Mason in acknowledgment for holding the door. With that, he proceeded down the stairs. When he reached the bottom, a very worried Riley was pacing back and forth in the living room, while Scarlett tried to calm her down. Josh was sitting on the couch, watching the scene unfold. Nathan cleared his throat loud enough for everyone to hear. Immediately, all eyes snapped to him and Riley came barreling into his arms. The unexpected impact caused Nathan to stumble backwards and Riley to hit the floor. Nathan crashed into a solid wall of pure muscle and strong arms wrapped around his waist, preventing him from falling forward. He quickly turned and squeaked an apology to........Mason.
'Oh, of course. Out of everyone it just had to be him.' Nathan thought as he took multiple steps away from the man.
"No problem" was all he said before disappearing into the kitchen. Riley spun Nathan around. His head whipped between him and the kitchen multiple times before he finally looked Nathan in the eyes.
"We need to talk. Now."
