A Dramione (Hermione/Draco) Head-cannon

*Some Fred/Hermione included*

Chapter One

Hermione was walking to divination class with Harry and Ron like always. They were talking about some Quidditch match between Ireland and Scotland when a disheveled Neville Longbottom ran up to them out of breath.

"Neville? What's wrong?" Hermione asked grabbing his opened book satchel before all of his books fell out.

"Pansy just snapped on Lavender and challenged her to a duel. I ran when Snape came to see what was happening. Didn't want to be around when blame was awarded. It always somehow goes to me. Why are you all going to divination?" Neville asked while helping Hermione sort out his satchel

"Going to class, how rattled up are you Longbottom?" Ron asked confused

"Divination is canceled, Trelawney is having a fit again, I think she's finally going mental." He replied "Well, I've got to go study for Charms, see you all later" Neville waved heading towards Ravenclaw's dormitories.

"Do you think something's wrong with Trelawney? This is her sixth major fit this month. Think she's finally cracked?" Harry wondered out loud

"She's always been mad. She will always be mad. The real question is why is Neville going to the Ravenclaw's dormitory??" Hermione asked changing the subject

"Probably to see Luna Lovegood. They meet up secretly, saw em in the library last week near the restricted section, probably snogging." Ron smirked

"Neville and Luna?? Does Ginny know?" Hermione questioned with wide-eyes

"Why would Ginny want to know?" Harry and Ron asked surprised

While continuing their conversation, the trio walked to the stairs leading to the Great Hall for a quick game of Wizards Chess.

"Well they did go to the Yule Ball together, remember. She's been fancying him for a while now." Hermione explained finding an open seat.

"Ginny and Longbottom?? She's obviously mental, I mean Longbottom? Really?" Ron mumbled upset

"It's just a simple little crush, no need to get angry." Hermione smiled, pleased with his protective attitude

"She would never go for him, he's not good enough." Harry sighed munching on a chocolate frog

"Well, I think it is absolutely adorable. You boys act as if you have never had a crush before. You both have fancied someone before, haven't you?" Hermione rolled her eyes

"I don't know 'Mione, who do you fancy?" Ron snapped back

Harry laughed at how fast Hermione's face became red.

"Well have a wonderful time, Ginny and I have to work on a charms quiz, see you all in the common room around supper time. Have fun with wizards chess and Quidditch talk" she waved leaving the boys sitting alone.

"Do you really think Ginny likes Neville?" Harry asked moving one of his pieces.

"I don't know, I don't want to think about it either. The whole idea of my sister being with a boy is gross." Ron made a face as he pondered his next move.

"Well according to Hermione, Neville is more interested in Luna. Luckily for us" Harry laughed nervously

"Do you think 'Mione likes anyone?" Ron took a cinnamon fire stick out of his bag and placed it in his mouth

"Hermione? Liking someone? Nah, she likes books and that's all" Harry joked taking one of Ron's pieces.

"Yeah, you're right. the day Hermione likes someone is the day pigs fly" Ron tried to joke.

They spent the rest of the evening playing Wizards Chest. Neither one brought up Ginny or Hermione again. Harry did however keep an eye out for Neville. He needed to know if Neville was really with Luna or if he would pursue Ginny.
