A knock on the door,
She says my name.
I'm lying on the floor,
With that picture frame.
It's time to speak,
She has to know.
Agony at its peak,
I have to go.
Don't know what they're saying,
Don't know what they want.
All night I've been praying,
So they'd stop their taunts.
I step out into the balcony,
The wind's so cold.
But it doesn't affect me,
For numb are my toes.
Life's not that bad,
I say to myself.
Then why are you sad?
My heart repells.
I get up on the ledge,
Weak and wooden,
Just like my legs,
With blood, so sodden.
The time is right,
For me to fly.
A bird in flight,
It's do or die.
