Back at her house The Girl was attempting to do her homework.  It was a nice, hot day of the summer holidays so she sat on the front lawn.  She lived in a nice house, in a nice neighbourhood but she never explored, never dared to go out her own drive.

She was sat down on the bright green grass looking at her English assignment; 'You have been stranded on a desert island, describe what you see and do there', a simple task for many but not for The Girl, her lack of imagination or personality limiting her creativity.  She just stared at the houses, the pretty flowered, the landscaped gardens...

"Hi"  The Girl suddenly turned around, but was not startled, she just stared into the boys eyes as she stared at everything.  "I'm Max, this is Michael, my brother, do you want to play with us?"  Max looked about 8 whereas Michael was the same age as The Girl.
"If you want me too."  The Girl said, leaving her book behind.

The Girl didn't engage in much conversation at the park.  Just a few questions that The Girl answered blankly.
"So do you go to Methwold high school"  Michael said after a while of silence as they gently swung side by side.
"Yes"
"I don't, I go to Spoulding Academy, I have to get the bus."  The Girl didn't answer.
"I go to Spoulding Junior"  Said Max, trying to be in the conversation.

"So, who's your friends."  Michael was still trying to think of something to say.
"My best friend is Charlotte"
"Cool, I don't have many friends around here, most of them live near my school, will you be my friend?"
"If you want me too"  The Girl said, Charlotte had never really asked for a friendship, and The Girl never gave anything in return.

The Girl was sat alone at her table, she never sat anywhere else, she never sat with anyone but herself.  But then Charlotte came.
"Can I sit here please?"
"If you want to."  Charlotte was in the same year as The Girl, so she knew her, she new the horrible things people said about her, she had heard their stories.  But she  wasn't the sort of person to judge.  She had a group of friends, had.  The Girl never knew what happened between them, Charlotte never talked about it,and The Girl never asked.

From that day on it wasn't The Girl's table, it was their table.  Everyday without fail, Charlotte would talk and The Girl would listen, she might of been smiling inside, that's what Charlotte hoped for but she never smiled on the outside, she never frowned either.  She never showed any feeling.

"I haven't even asked your name"  Michael stated, looking at The Girl who was clearly in thought about something.  She nodded, not giving away information.  "So umm, what is your name?"  The Girl got up suddenly,
"I'm sorry, I have to go."  She didn't run through the gate of the path she simply walked, leaving Michael and Max staring behind her in confusion.
"Wait!"  The Girl stopped but didn't turn around.  It was Michael.
"Will I see you again?"
"I don't know"  And with that she simply walked out of the gate and left them, her chance of a new friendship, gone.  Just walking away from another opportunity.  Emotionless.

What do you think?  I think this chapter is a bit longer than the others, not long left now, three chapters maybe!  Please tell me what you think and vote, it means a lot.  Thanks :)
